Course Curriculum Overview

4

The selection rate and affordability influenced me to take admission here This college is not that much better for real world application or research purposes They can improve teaching by using smart boards and projectors. You have to take Exams almost after every 1.5 months and the difficulty level is moderate

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I am only in 1st year so don't have that much idea about internships Colleges provide a good exposure to make projects buy I haven't done any yet as I am in 1st year only You can consider this college in terms of ROI.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 7th semester student get eligible for campus placements Companies like IBM AMAZON DELOITTE DELL GOOGLE visited and Around 5000 placement offers were made by 500 companies (including big and small companies also including mass recruiter and startups) Highest package was of 45Lakhs and average package was around 4-5lakhs 80% of the students who scored 7+CGPA in college exam used to get placed I will prepare to get campus placement or off campus placement after completing degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees are same for every year once you get admission(may be different if you will get admission in another year) but you may have to pay some extra money(2-5%) because of fines and something else Total fees for the course (excluding hostel ) will be around ?5,20,000/- I don't think there is any scholarship program I am in the 1st year only so I haven't seen job opportunities but senior says placement is good but not the best

Campus Life

4

"Parivartan" is the biggest feat of the of the college. It is held every year in around the month of October. And several other events(technical and non technical) take place time to time, so can give exact time about that. Library is good in this college, you will be given both offline and online access of the books and you will find most of the books you require for your college life. Condition of classrooms are good but there is no A.C (only fans) and smart boards. There is projector in each class but teachers don't use them comdition of seats are okay but not best. Events for sports and extracurricular activities take place time to time and you will be informed in your official WhatsApp group. There are several clubs having diferent motives (like culture, sports, drawing, coding etc,.) and these clubs are managed by students under the guidance of teacher.

Admission

1. There is no such eligibility criteria for admission in this college but if you will score 75% in your 12th board then you will be on a safer side. 2. You can find the application form from their ow website. When you will apply for admission you will get a call from a counsellor and he/she will guide you throughout the process 3. There is no reservations in this college 4. Each of 2 internal exams will be conducted in interval of 1 or 1.5 month and 1 external exam will be conducted at the last of the semester. Overall you will have to take 3 exams at average interval of 1 or 1.5 months. 5. Admission process is smooth and counsellor will guide you throughout. They can improve by including scholarship and by including detailed breakdown of fees which students can see in their smartphone by visiting their profile in their website.(so that students can keep a check on late fines, mass bunk fine , dress not wearing fine or money for event.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
