My College: An overview

The curriculum included subjects that are relevant in this field such as Artificial intelligence, Big Data, Bioinformatics, Automata theory . It includes programming in Java,python,PLSQL and tools like Hadoop,Weka tool for data mining Python one of the widely used language is taught which is very helpful to get placement in companies Various opportunities such as big data analytics are waiting after completion of the tool Hadoop One can also be aware of the upcoming fields in technology by studying Natural Language Processing and Artificial intelligence Updations must be made according to the change in the recent trends in technology.placement based teaching must be encouraged by training and making them expert in the particular areas The university gives us enough time to prepare for the exams and previous year question papers will be available in the college for reference

Students become eligible for placement when they are in the third semester There are various companies visited like Amazon,TCS,Wipro, and more than 15 students are placed through this The highest package received is 600000 per annum and students get an average salary package of 200000-400000 per annum 70 % of the total students are given job in placements After completing this course I will try to get a job in an MNC and also prepare for competitive exams like NET,SET

The college only charges a tuition fees of 4000/ per year for the students in PG department.college has not made a hike in the fees in the recent years An yearly fees of 4000 should be given as tuition fees.The college provides a women's hostel which will has fees of 4000 as admission fees and a aggregate amount of 3500-4000 as monthly fees including stay and food.The total expense for studying here will be less than 20000 excluding the hostel fees There are various scholarships available for the students: Samunnathi scholarship(?6000 per year) for students under general category Muhammad koya scholarship(?13000 per year)- for students in minority community such as Christian,muslim Meritt scholarship- for eligible students with higher marks Apart from this alumni scholarship(?1000),PTA scholarship(?1000) and E- grants are also given to the students

The computer science department conducts tech fest on the month of September or November The English and media studies department organises HUERAYY, with many competitions related to media on the month of January Besides this college day,arts day are also been organised All the books for competitive exams, daily journals, newspapers (English and Malayalam) reference books,story books,novels, subject books are all available in the library which can be taken by student and faculty Projector is been fixed in every class so that the teachers can take class by connecting their PC .Each class has camera which is under the surveillance of the principal.There are 4 or 2 fans in the classroom according to the size of the classroom Various sports like batminton, cricket,football,throwball are made available to the students. College has a women cell, student union,electoral club,literarchy club and portals for students are available which has their marks,attendence etc.online library system is alsoavailable

For a student to get admission in MSc computer science in this college,he/she must have passed Bsc in Computer science/ Bsc in Maths/Bsc in computer applications The dates for application for this course and application form can be found in the university website and also notified in the newspaper.An application fees of 700 should be paid during application.Reservations are given for students under sports quota(only students eligible for sports quota can apply), community quota (students falling under SC,ST,OBC can apply). Various scholarships are available for the eligible students which will be notified by the college. one month gap will be given after the notification for the exam which will be helpful for the students to prepare well. In the admission process,as the college is a government institution,it should try to bring more students from weaker economical background so that they can study with minimal fees and also reduce the cut off marks to give more opportunities
