Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My course is B.Sc. Hons. Physics and it's a very good course. My college provides a very good environment in this field. So many labs are there with all the apparatus available. Faculty is very supportive and there teaching methods and brilliant. Everything is made to understand theoretically as well as experimentally. It is basically a research course and the syllabus is made in such a way that everything correlate the other and therefore it is very beneficial to further research. Many programs used to organize and therefore we find many other opportunities also. Exams have a good level of difficulty and are conducted in both practical and theoretical way.

Internships Opportunities

5

My college provides a lots of internships in my field. Teachers always provide students with new ideas and projects. Many of the students are enrolled in the internship programs that will help to improve their CV. In my department internships mainly focuses on research part and therefore sometimes it took a long time.

Placement Experience

3.5

About the campus placements there are many companies that visit our college like unacademy, byjus, Microsoft and many others. Majorly the placement are of B.com and B.A. Economics and they get package in six digit salary. On an average the package ranges from 600000-800000 LPA. But my plans are different and I am planning to study more. Therefore I will see forward towards my post graduation in physics.

Fees and Financial Aid

Different courses have different fee structure. My course have a fee of approximately 26000 per year but it does not include examination fees. The examination fees is about 1000-2000 for my course as it also includes lab apparatus. College also provide hostel facility. But in addition to all this my college also provide so many scholarship for students that helps them financially.

Campus Life

5

In my college there is a big library which is separated in two sections one is on ground floor and the other one is on 1st floor. There are many books and journals that are easily available and the infrastructure of library is also very good. Seats are very comfortable and there is also facility of wifi. In classrooms there are projectors and that are used to teach us. There are many societies like NCC, NSS, Debating society, Nishta and many others also. Many programs like Khelo Hansraj are also organized. Near Diwali there is Diwali Mela organised by the college.

Admission

For my college we have to appear in CUET. On the basis of it we got seat in Hansraj College. For my course that is B.Sc Hons physics the eligibility criteria is 10+2 with physics, chemistry and maths. Then after that we have to register for the university as there are many universities in CUET and after that on the basis of marks we get college in Delhi University. Exam difficulty is moderate and many students appear for the exam. My course focuses on the research field and there is very good environment for it. Application form can be found on official website of NTA and from there only we can fill the form for CUET. In CUET there are many universities both private and government. Some of the major university are: Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, JNU, all the central universities and also many more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.

However, a lot students here prefer masters and so a very few take placements, we have a entreprenuerial lab here which allows students to start their own startups and a lot of companies do visit in campus and hire students also. However, my plans would be pursuing for post grad entrance exams if I did'nt get placement.
