Vibrant college life at NIT Rourkela

From my higher school days..I was having interest in science field basically in the field where there is the application of maths and chemistry. When I have searched more about the curriculum of chemical engineering I found some of the very interesting subjects such as chemical process calculations, mass transfer, heat transfer, fluid mechanics and so on. All because of mine keen interest on these subjects i choosed up this branch. This branch is having a lot of real world applications in oil and refineries, in petrochemical power plants and in various other industries. The overall course curriculum of chemical engineering I think excellent at nit Rourkela. One can learn a lot from labs and courses. Exams are held twice in a year..some subjects are easy to handle while some requires continuos efforts and practice to get a good grade. Superb branch of u want to be an excellent industrialist and to contribute to the technological and environmental advancement aspects.

The tution fees of a particular semester is bout 60 thousand. By availing the mess facilities and other charges its becomes about 1 lakh per semester. If you are having a income certificate of less than 5 lakhs your tution fees becomes one- third and your overall semester fees becomes about sixty thousand. So, talking about a year our total fees range is about to lakhs. So, the all eight semester costs about 8 lakhs plus the admission fees at the starting of your admission and some other expenses. So overall it costs 10 lakhs for the degree of B.Tech for the premium institute like nit Rourkela. Hope that helps.

There are mainly four annual fest held at nit Rourkela. One is the eastern India's largest technical fest innovision held in November. Second is the cultural and literary fest which is nitrutsav which is held in February.Third is the multiethnic fest cosmopolitanwhich is held in January and fourth one is the sports fest vriddhi which is held in November.One can avail all the books and resources whatever faculties suggest at library. You can find a lot of books at the Biju Pattnaik central library in the campus. You can use phones in classroom..but yeah surely not in the front rows of the classroom. You can enjoy a lots of clubs according to your interest. There are more than 30 major clubs in our campus. There are social servicing clubs too like aasra and Rotaract. You can join Aspirants community too if you want to prepare for higher studies and competitive exams like cat, gate , upsc etc. These clubs and extracurricular activities makes your life enjoyable and memorable here.

Just get selected in jee mains by a excellent rank and that's your eligibility will be. Application forms and all the examination related details can be found on the website of jossa . You can follow up the procedure of jossa councelling to get admission in this course . After the results of jee mains basically , the procedure for admission through jossa councelling starts. I haven't availed any reservation benefits..so I can't explain much About it. But it is helpful to get a better branch through jee mains. Exams are held twice in a semester..one is mid semester and another one is end semester. There are two semesters in a year of duration of about 4or 5 months. Exams are though tough here but regular and consistent self studies can make your path smoother. Faculties are nice here. You can get a wonderful campus life in this college to make remarkable memories and can make good friends too. Also the placement and internship opportunities are decent here.
