Lab facilies which provide us practical knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

The university trains students to face the challenges in real life and help them to acquire new skills and make them future ready. The curriculum is more practical oriented and is updated once in a 4year according to current market demands.

Internships Opportunities

The colleges helps the students in getting internshps by registring in various internships websites.The training and placement department works well and sends of letter of recommodation to the companies in which students are intersted in doing internships.

Placement Experience

A good number of companies visit the college. Students get lot of opportunity of getting placed. Around 60-70% students get placed every year. The average package is around 6lakhs and highest package is 48lakhs

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The per year fees for btech is Rs 41,040/-. There are many scholarships given by the state government to the students. One can avail those scholarships by meeting the required criterias. The University also offers TFW seats to students who have poor economic background as a result they get discount in fees.

Campus Life

There are many clubs actively running in the University. The club memebers participate in various National level competiton and bring fame to the University by winning prizes. The club provide a platform to the students to improve their skills.

Hostel Facilities

There are many hostels available for the studennts. Almost all the students opting for hostel get accomodation in hostel. The hostel alloted to 1st year students is good. The mees food is manageable. Don't expect much from mess..!!!

Admission

To take admission in Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology ,one has to appear JEE Mains or OJEE entrance examinations and participate in OJEE counselling. Jee Mains is conducted twice a year by NTA and OJEE is conducted by Odisha government.

Placement Experience:

From the start of the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. The placement used to be so good and the graph was increasing exponentially. But for to recession, last year's placements were not good at all. There was almost 100% placement in CSE, IT and CE branches and 80% in ETC and EEE. But due to the recession, it dropped drastically. The highest package provided on campus is 39LPA by media.net, taking only one student. The average salary used to be 12LPA which dropped to 7LPA due to the recession. The condition of placement cells is not good currently and many students are in doubt regarding their placements. Many are opting for higher studies or trying off campus.

The companies visited our college are bajaj electrical, Bharat electrical, etc. The highest packages company offered is 500000 per annum. About 85% of students get placement in our course. My plan after getting a degree is to get a job.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is good. Even I am placed in a reputed core company. Majority of the students get placed. The remaining also prepares for higher studies through GATE and CAT. Being in the capital city, the advantage of access to reputed coaching institutes also makes the college favourable. Students are eligible to sit in the placements in the final year. Though some third-year students also get pre-placement offers after doing certain internships. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Advanced Systems, TCS (Digital and Ninja), Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, JK papers, Robert Bosch etc are some of the highlights.

Vssut, burla is a renowned government college. I have been always dream of studying in a good government engineering college. The faculties are very good and supportive in every aspect. The college is also well renowned. The good aspects are the administration is very good and the only bad aspect is the hostel food is not good... Except for this everything is good.
