- The locality. SVNIT is located at the center of the city surat which makes it easy to buy any neccessities.
- The people here a warming and welcoming.
- Good Campus,with greenary everywhere,and the Climate here is also good.
Dislikes
- The distance from Hostel to academic blocks is about 1-1.5km , which makes it difficult if you want to reach your class fast.
- Poor department. The dept of AI, is new so it doesnt have a permanent building.
- No auditorium which makes it difficult to conduct gatherings and convocation.
Course Curriculum Overview
The cource is well designed and upto the date with all the advancements in Artificial Intelligence. The cource in the first year Would contain all the fundementals like Mathematics required for Learning Machine learning Algorithms. The Facults here are OK . The effort from the students is greater than the efforts from faculty.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is Not same for everyone . It is Based on the category you belong to. For a Genaral category male , The fee per semester is 62500 and 7500 processing fees. Which would make up a total of 70000 per semester . If you opt to stay in hostel ,the fee for the room to be paid is 6000 per year and the mess charges are about 19500 per semster. There are few scholorships that can be availed after taking admission, which depends on the financial condition of the student.
Campus Life
Since the branch of Artificial intelligence is relatively new,the infrastructure for now is not as good as the other branches. The new department of Artifical intelligence is under construction and is expected to get completed in a few months. So the freshers from the next batch can expect a good Infra. There are Many clubs and club activities in the collage. There are many events like freshers party,Cultural fest which improves a person social life. The technical fest conducted in SVNIT is called MindBend,which is considered as the Biggest technical fest in the state of Gujarat
Hostel Facilities
There are many hostels in SVNIT. But the first yearites get only two of them . Gajjar Bhavan for boys and Mother teresa bhavan for girls. The Boys hostel is good in infra and you will live together with a room mate. Only two people get a room. The mess here is great ,which has all kinds of food ,but dominated by Gujarathi Meals. The quality and maintainence of mess is Good , and a monthly review is taken by mess , to improve there quality. The items on mess will be changed according to the students feed back. The registration for Hostel is done during the document verification process.
Admission
The Admission process is Done via JOSSA councelling and CSAB special councelling After the completion of JEE advanced the National testing agency (NTA) releases the date for the JOSAA councelling To get admitted in the cource of Artificial intelligence a candidate is expected to score well in the JEE Mains Examination A percentile between 98.8 to 99.3 is expected to land you in this collage.
