SVNIT or NIT SURAT , Review as ECE student

College curriculum is related to subjects and is interesting enough to activate the students to do more work for it.exams are conducted twice in a semester. MID Sem and END Sem . Also 2 unit tests and quizes are conducted in semester . Exam difficultly is moderate to hard. And is more like practical problem solving based to make students ready for real life problems

Internship in college is provided by faculties during study as well as during vacation, the ongoing projects of professors are connected to germany, japan , US , china etc. So there are sophisticated projects going on . Also faculties have good connections in other NITs and IITs so they also provide opportuinites to work with other colleges also

The college provides on campus internship opportunities from 5th semester and in most of the cases, placement offers are also provided during this internship time, if your performance in this internships is good enough, then the same company offers job during 6th or 7th sem. Also campus placement interview starts from 7th semester and almost all deserving students gets placed till February or march month of 8th semester. Percentage wise almost 75-80% students gets placed excluding who are unable to sit in placements due to backlog and typical 6-7CGPA minimum criteria

As an SC student,there is no tution fees included ,which is around 67500 per semester to general category. But there are other fees like exam fees,stationary etc. That totals 7500 per semester. Hostel fees include 39000 per year mess fees advance , other fees like room rent and water and mintanance etc.is around 11000 per year

There are two fests .MINDBEND Technical fest and SPARSH cultural fest. MINDBEND is more hyped in all over gujarat and people from other colleges also come to see it and it is exciting. Library provides books for all subjects and also journals and research papers are also provided IEEE's exclusive content is also provided at free of cost to all the students. Sports is kind of weak hear but still it is not dead , if you are good at any sports ,they take you to the Inter NIT sports tournament and you can play .But there is less encouragement for sports.

Hostel are very good to live as they give a room for only 2 peoples to there is less messy environment and more private and focusing environment as you have less people in one room that is best thing i liked.also there are 2 mess in every hostel containing almost 800-1000 students in each of them. 24Hr Water supply is very good and clean corridor,toilet , washroom is there , also room cleaning is done every in 4 days

The personally reason to choose this college is the specially it is ranking in top 7 NITs for ECE in india and I personally liked to learn ECE from better source. The reason of its growth is encouraging faculty as I discussed before and students are also active which is providing good environment of study

Teachers are very encouraging and supportive to the core subjects and support to go deep in research and development ,not only in IT fields. Teaching style is interesting and friendly. However,some teschers teach on whiteboard and nothing material they have.But some only teach in PPT that is sonewhere boring but still those are also knowledgeable.

Gym is having every basic to moderate level equipments to give professional feel and to gain muscles. Library is the best place to read and study , it have good silent, air conditioned atmosphere and very comfortable seats and tables for group studies. Canteen is being renovated to make more versatile food bing provided ,area is kind of small currently so that they are expanding it also
