Overall experience of MCM DAV COLLEGE FOR WOMEN

Curriculum of bcom is very good here as i have chosen bcom economics here..i can say i now have good understanding of the subject.But on the other hand..one flaw is it does not prepare you for the real world

Placement cell is not that good here.Although students become eligible for campus placements in their 4th sem only..but no good companies visit here.Till the time i am in college. only good company i have seen visiting is ACCENTURE from where 10-15 students got placed with avg package of 4-5 lpa( for my batch 2021-2024) Also companies like Airtel,Arvind fashions, Concentric,Etc visitied the campus I can't say about the %age of students getting placed but in my batch i have not seen good no. pf students getting placed honestly. Generallt students prefer for masters or any govt exam preparation after getting their degree if they do not get placed.

fee structure here is very affordable.Cources like bcom,bba ,bsc have max 30k per year and for Ba..its less than other courses. Talking about fee hike..every year they have a hike of 2-3K . But they do have scholarship facilities for students but i dont remember the names of schemes( you can check on their website ) Campus employement is not that good. Overall complete cost of education here is around 1L(without accommodation) its just tuition fees and exam fees

Campus life is very happening and enjoyable here as there are fests that happened like Mcm have their annual fest called MERAKI held every year, IT fest of technical dept., English dept have their own club as MEVARICKS, Pol.sci dept conduct their own activities and competitions for students like debating,GD etc. Facilities of smart class provided here. Student run societies are also there like COMMERCE SOCIETY OF COLLEGE BY STUDENTS ONLY.ie...FINNEXUS

Admission process is quite easy as there is no such entrance exam for taking admission in here. Eligibility for b.com here is just like other colleges ,i.e. must be 12th passes from any recognised board. For commerce admission(bcom,bba) there is CENTRALISED ADMISSION process and for other courses, NON- CENTRALISED ADMN. process is followed. In centralised process,you have to fill one single form(dhe.chd.gov.in) and you get admission based on your merit list and your merit score in any afffiliated college of PU.For eg. your core subjects in your 12th contains 4 marks..which gives a total of 12 marks(accounts,eco,business studies ) and 4 marks extra if you have maths or IT also.....that means...this will add to your %age in 12th..for eg.if i have scored 93.2%..and i just add 12 more marks , it gives me 105.2...so this 105.2 will become the basis for my admission to PU affiliated colleges. In non-centralised process,like for ba,bsc etc..you can directly fill the form of any college.
