XLers at XLRI

It is similar to the curriculum of any top tier MBA college. It is a very vigorous one. There are frequent projects and assignments. There is a minimum of 3 exams per course and 2 assignments in general.

All students get internship opportunities. All of them gets placed in the best companies possible and carry out their internship in finance, marketing, sales, operations, prodman, strategy or some other niche specializations.

You get Summer internship placements as well as final placements. There is 100% placements every year and the highest package can be around 1 cr and lowest at 18 lakhs. This year due to market conditions, these figures can go down.

The fess are on the higher side. The tuition and academic expenses add upto more than 30 lakhs. Then above this the hostel and mess fees. There are some scholarship opportunities but only bery few students get it

There are a lot of extra curriculars, committee activities and events. Every week, there is something or the other happening. Classrooms are failrly well equipped with AC, projector, speakers, microphones, cushioned executive chairs.

Hostels are poor as per the fees that you pay. It is very old and not well maintained. There is no AC or a good chair in rooms. You get a cot and curtains. Everything else you will have to buy. Mess food is fairly good

There was an entrance test called XAT. Then an SOP submission. Then a PI. There is no reservation benefits in XAT. It happens once a year. The application form is available on the website. From this year, there will be GD round also. GD and PI will happen offline.

There were no GDs last year. However, this year there is. PI was there which was a really comprehensive one. They asked about my work ex. , acads, behavioural questions, situstional questions. Before that there was an SOP submission where you will have to answer certain behavioural queations and submit.
