IIM Ranchi offers wide range of opportunities from being taught by excellent faculty, carefully designed curriculum, exposure to industry trends through guest lectures by leaders along with good placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is diverse and offers wide range of electives to choose from. In depth case study discussions, emphasis on peer learning and class participation pedagogy adopted by the faculties contributes to the all round development of students making the learning experience fun and engaging.

Prominent companys such as Delloite, Essar,EY, Simens visited the campus along with many others offering roles in sales and Marketing (44%), Finance (66%), Strategy and consulting ( 14%), IT and Analytics (11%), Operational and general management (15 %).

College Events

Clubs, committees events and competions are frequently held on the campus. Radix, is a popular and fun event organised by the college. Social events such a Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Swachta Pakhwada are organised for encouraging students to contribute towards a better society. Agon is a two day management fest which will include over 24 events of 8 Clubs of IIM Ranchi. Agon hosts various corporate and industry leaders along with participation of more than 15000 students from leading B-schools of the country. Agon is a spinster friendly event that enjoys huge popularity among the students in Ranchi.

My experience at XLRI Jamshedpur

Placement Experience:

XLRI provides both SIP and Final placement opportunities. The SIP process begins in the month of September and the final placements during the months of Dec-Feb. 100 percent of the students get placed. The highest stipend for the SIP 2024 was 3.5 lakh per month, the average being 1.5 lakh+.

Remarks:

Our college is the fastest growing IIM in the country, we have already surpassed other B-Schools that we are normally compared to in terms of placements. At IIM Ranchi, students are offered international placements as well and as per the stats, in 2019, the highest international package was 58.1 LPA. The average package is also decent at 15.02 LPA. Domestic highest package here was 26 LPA, which is a great return on investment, if you see.

Remarks:

Amongst all the new and baby IIMs, IIM Ranchi clearly wins the game with respect to the pedagogy and the facilities that it provides. The campus is known for providing single occupancy room to all the students. Also, the average placement is highest here.
