In depth Review of RV College of Engineering.

Our course curriculum is relatively advanced and up to date as compared to other colleges as RVCE is autonomous hence we are exposed to different academic areas in the first year itself such as Embedded systems and IoT etc. The only con being that the academic burden is high as there are tests and quizzes every month along with experiential learning projects and lab sessions which all are important so it can be a little hectic to manage.

There is actually a good amount of Internship opportunity for RV College of engineering students.As the brand name and the place in which the college is located helps a lot in acquiring quality internships. Students here get prestigious internships in institutes like IISc Bangalore. Also many students are able to convert their internships into PPOs.The companies are Cisco, Airbus, Texas Instruments, Tejas Aerosense etc.

Talking about my Branch (Electrical and Electronics Engineering ) I would say the placements are improving year by year and average package is quite good but since the course is very hard, maintaining the CGPA becomes a difficult task due to which the placements get affected.After getting the degree I would go for higher studies.

There is a lot of availability for Backward and Unprivileged students only if you take Admission through Karnataka Common Entrance Test ( KCET ). The complete cost of education for me because I am from ComedK would be around 9.8lac and if I include my Hostel and Mess fees it would be total around 15 lacs.

The campus life is average but there is a lot of connectivity in Bangalore due to Metro being in front of our college. There are many active clubs of RVCE such as E CELL, Alaap, Astra, Vyoma, Ashwa Racing Motocorp and Dhruva etc.I would say that fests happens in our college like once in two months. Sports teams of RVCE are very competitive to get in and are very good. There is a lot of construction going on .

There are about 5 Boys hostels inside RVCE namely Krishna Hostel, Cauvery Hostel, Krishna Annex Hostel, Chamundi Hostel and Sir MV Hostel and in case of Girls there is 2 Girls hostel DJ hostel and 1 hostel outside of College named Krishna Garden Hostel .The rooms are pretty good and spacious in Cauvery and Krishna Hostel.Mess food is not quite that good as it is repetitive.

The eligibility process was very simple as the criteria was to only to get 60% in PCM in class 12 which I got easily.The application form and fees and dates I found on Comedk website and other sites like college pravesh and college dunia.I did not avail any reservation.There are a lot of exams held in the college regularly which may help students.
