Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum over here is mainly focused on practical and project based learning.We call it experiential learning over here.40% of our internal marks are decided by the same that is through projects and presentation of those. Student ratio over here is approx 3:1.And varies from branch to branch from 10:1 in mechanical to 1:1 in biotech. Most of the faculties are qualified from IIT nits Exams are held every month as internals and one semester end is held at the end of each sem.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies and MNCs give internships after 4th semester to many students like Oracle samsung etc etc and these internships are often changed to PPO. In every semester you have to make some project for each subject and that carries 40% of your academic internal weightage
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester in RVCE and can get paid/unpaid internships from 4th sem itself. Placement percent is the best part of RVCE as it has more than 90% placement overall and almost 100% placement is IT and circuital branches
Fees and Financial Aid
As compared to other private college in the country the fees of RV is nominal for students coming from comedk and kcet quota.each year there's a fee hike of approx 5% in tution fees. Scholarships is something that is not seen or heard here much often.
Campus Life
8th mile.probably the biggest fest in Bangalore is carried out every year at RVCE and famous artists like amaal malik,Aman dhattarwal,Amit Mishra etc etc come and the vibe is completely different on the fest days. E-summit,HELIX,concrete fair etc are some of the other major fests that are carried out. Classrooms are quite spacious with digi board installed in most of them. RV has an active sports facility and cricket football Badminton table tennis etc many other sports are there and are quite active also. There are clubs like Ashwa,jatayu,Garuda,chimera,vyoma,Helios etc etc many more in different fields as car racing drone etc. There is a big library in the campus with 4 floors and academics and non academics both kind of books are present there
Hostel Facilities
There are 4 boys hostel and two girls hostel. Meals provided here are not that good but bearable as I've heard of diff colleges much worse than over here. Hostels are provided on first come first served basis and subsequent years it's provided on the basis of cgpa. Hostel fees is 90k per year Mess fees is 33k per year
Admission
The admission is done on three criterias 1)COMEDK-for non-karnataka students 2)KCET-for Karnataka students 3) MANAGEMENT QUOTA I got my admission through comedk.It is an exam for 180 marks and duration is 3hrs.60marks for each subject PCM there is no negative marking so one can try their guessing luck in this exam.The cutoff varies as per the difficulty of the paper and the shift you are sitting in.To get into RVCE cse branch one must get a rank of under 1000 and that is possible at a score of 120+.
