Course Curriculum Overview

If you have interest in sketching then it's going to be interesting. You will have to sit for hours drafting sheets and making models. Nights will be sleepless. But if you have interest then it won't make u fed up. Faculty is well experienced and portions are covered timely. Plenty of site visits and live sketching tours are conducted. Term exams are conducted on time with proper time between each exams.

Internships Opportunities

I don't know much about interships. But our seniors are doing their interships outside Kerala. some are even doing their intership abroad. Being a student of this college, you will have a lot to add up to your resume which will surely get you great opputunities. A lot of workshops are conducted even from first year itself.

Placement Experience

I don't knw much about placements as I am a 1year now. But our seniors are getting placed with a decent salary. The highest a senior got place was for 12L per annum. But the average is much low as the course offers less .

Fees and Financial Aid

You can find plenty of scholarship opportunities with help of helpdesk over here. As it's a government college fees is affordable. All the drafting sheets and expensive gateway sheets are provided by the college for free.

Campus Life

Plenty of clubs are available and so many cultural, technical and art fests are conducted every year. Gym , basketball court , table tennis, badminton, cricket , football etc . Every month you will have 2 to 3 programs.

Hostel Facilities

Old block and new block are there for ladies hostel. old block is for first years and is a bit conjusted. but once you reach 2nd year you will get the new block. A separate block is provided for architecture students only in the new block. Hostel admissions are allotted based on a rank list they publish based on the annual income and distance of their house from the college. So it would be difficult to get into hostel if you are from trivandrum itself.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

We have to write the NATA exam by COA and register for KEAM examination ( no need to write the exam unless you are looking for admission to BTech courses). One should acquire a KEAM rank for architecture Below 100

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

I like architecture because of its creatove and practicality. And in pur college they are making sure of combining those two together. Their teaching methods are good for me because i am learning so much. But not for everyone they are sl friendly in outside i think if they are so friendly in college . The students might like the letures more. The jury and exams are mostly collide that is a not good thing for us. They are making sure of the real world works so that we can actually survive after the college.

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

NITC Glimpses

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
