Likes

I liked the campus environment and total campus
Faculty were good in teaching and helps us when ever required
The placements are decent every can try to get placed in a good company

Dislikes

Canteens were separate for both boys and girls
The students with low GPA are hard to get a placement
The security system is bad we can not roam in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in working with computers since my schooling so I choosed cse in the graduation.The faculty were good in my course many of them completed btech,mtech,and PhD too.They have good knowledge and experience in their respective subjects.for every 6 months there were semester exams.The difficulty to pass exam is not too hard and not too easy.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Tcs offerd many jobs to the students with an package of 7lpa and 5lpa. JP Morgan also offerd with package of 22lpa and stipend of 15000 for some students. The faculty helps in completing some of the good projects for placement.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible from 3-2 semester for campus placements.nearly 50 companies visit the campus every year and provide many offers.The Highest package is 44lpa and average is 5lpa. Around 90% students get place every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is same for all the courses it is 1,35,000 rs .we can get scholarship from government based on reservation upto 35000 for every student.The campus provides internships and placements with good stipend and package.

The annual fest in the college is pragnya conducted every year by the students and tech fests like xkernel.The campus doesn't involve in any of the fests.There is big library contains all the books and journals.There many clubs like rhythms,IEEE etc

Admission

I took the entrance examination to get into this college and you can also get through management seats.The average rank you should get into this college is 5000-7000 for general category students through eamcet.We can get the application forms in the adminstration block after giving certain details of us to them. The application fee is 10,000 rs for each student.

The curriculum is not the best i would say There are many flaws in it Although the say the syllabus keeps changing but the changes are not that much The teaching method is also old school methods U can expect an exam every 1.5 months The difficulty is also high

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
