Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course out of my passion and interest in Computer Science. The faculty-student ratio is 1:50. All the faculty are highly experienced and have excellent expertise and knowledge. In a Semester, we have a mid-sem exam, a end-sem exam, and a few quizzes.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Still, I am in semester 4, and since we are not available for any internship opportunities, I don't have any internship experience. There are many projects students can engage with. By their performance internships are offered.

Placement Experience

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for internships and Campus Placements. Companies visited and offers made can be viewed on the official website of NITC. Students have various choices like MTech, MBA, studies in abroad and Jobs

Fees and Financial Aid

You would need around 10,00,000/- tuition fees for 4 years to complete Btech if you belong to OC/OBC. If you belong to others it would be less than the previous amount mentioned. There are many scholarships to avail. Financial assistance is also available.

Campus Life

There are two fests Ragam in March and Tathva in October which are cultural and tech fests. The library is available 24/7. There are many clubs and extra-curricular activities to get involved. The classrooms are good.

Hostel Facilities

You are provided with rooms that can accommodate 2 members per room with very good ventilation. Food is good for Malayalis, but non-Malayalis have to adjust a little bit. Both Veg and Non-Veg are available.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

Through JEE Mains, can be applied from the jeemain.nta.ac.in website. Fees would be around 1200 for boys and 700 for girls. Eligibility of 75% marks in the 12th grade. Reservation applicable candidates should include a caste certificate while applying.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
