Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose the course because of the opportunities from the college. Like in my department, the ratio would be like 8 students to 1 faculty. The faculties are well educated in their topic and they have done their Phd from well reputed institutions. The teaching style is also easy and understandable. The semester takes place on time and the questions level are fairly good so that most of the students passed with good grades.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Microsoft, Google, JP Morgan, Oracle, Bajaj, Amazon, Accenture these companies comes for the internship and they provide very good amount of stipend. If someone didn't get the intership then every department gives Vocational Training to the students in Industries.

Placement Experience

2.5

From the 7th semester, the placement starts. In 2023 85% of the students got placed and around 200 companies came for the placement. Highest package is around 80 lakh and average is around 8 laks. I will be going or civil services after the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is divided based on the category and income of the family ( not on the gender ). Anyone can avail scholarship or loan but only one is accepted. You cannot avail more than one financial assistance. The college provide fair chances of internship for the upper core branches. But for Biotechnology the chances are limited. It is same with the job opportunities. Biotechnology students get limited job offer.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very chill. There are different clubs that will suit you. But most of the clubs requires specific knowledge of something from the beginning. This leads to situation where only few people get selected. Most the annual fest and tech fest occurs during the month of Feb to March. Central library has availability of lots of different books not only related to classroom but also other literature or novel. Classroom are well maintained and they have all the amenities required for smooth funcitioning of the class. Sports and extra curricular activities have the facilities but most of the students don't prefer it. Social Groups include Bihari More Eduction Project (BMEP) and other society.

Hostel Facilities

3

Every year has different hostel/hall. Most of the rooms have two to three beds. The hostel rooms are old and only one hostel is new. The mess food is not that good but you can eat it. Every year you will be provided room. It is distributed according to first cum first rule. Each semester you have to the hostel fees. Very few opt for rented room or PG. It is easily available just outside the campus.

Admission

I cleared JEE Mains as an entrance exam. The form is circulated by NTA on their website (i.e.- jeemain.nta.ac.in). The fee was around Rs 1000. The cut-off for the OBC that year was 82 percentile. Benefits of reservations include fee waiver in the college tution fee and also the Branch or Department you will get. I want to see smoothness and fairness in the counseling process.
