Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

ive taken this course because i was intrested in economics & history from my school days and i want to learn and know more about the things. also ive got the seat in one of the good colleges in delhi, so i took it. in the east campus of the dtu there are around 2000 students from all the branches & years, the teachers are like 70. in that nearly 30 teachers are permanent facuilty and the others are guest facuilty from other universities.the teachers qualification for the guest facuilty is good they are having doctorate and they are senior professors with more than 15 years experience. and the guest facuilty are mostly now the JNU phd scholars who are pursuing it. other guest facuilty are also good with experince from other universities.the sem happens for 4-5 months, the midterm exams happen after 2months of start of sem & the end term happen after 50 days of midterm. the passing for the Economic paper will be little difficult when compared to BBA. question papers will be moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3

Most of the companies are startups and they are offering roles on the field of marketing , sales, finance, data analyst. the companies are PROBO, Development solutions, EDOOFA, Mckinley rise. Although the companies like Bajaj, Samagra, Byjus, wtw etc are also visiting college for the placements. stipend is depend from company to company which varies like around 25000.

Placement Experience

3.5

from third year stiudents gets starting for taking placements.amazon, byjus visited but they didnt give reply after sometime for anything. the highest pacakge the student got i know is 13 lpa and the avegare is around 5lpa. the highest package is given by samartha industries company fy 2022. nearly there are 20-25% people are getting placements for UG. my plan is to join in MBA in good business school in india

Fees and Financial Aid

actually there wont be a much fee hike. for my 3 years it costed around 3 lakh ruppes. for first two years its in btw 90000 and for last year its 1lakh.but when compared to other govt colleges in delhi the cost of study in our college is more. when we see in DU its under 15k only. and also draw back is the fees for backlog of 1 subject is 5500. its too high when compared to any college in delhi. its the main drawback here.idk exactly about the scholarship, but there are few things that we have to fill in few government websites where we can get scholarships for certain categories only. as of now i havent got any job in campus. and also i am going for higher studeis. but there are only few people who got jobs in college this year.

Campus Life

4.5

Engifest or tech fest is one of the biggest fest in delhi which happens in february of every year, with various artists, singers, actors and many more people who come.yes there are availability of all the type of referred books for all the year students & for all the subjects.also daily news papers also will be available.the clasrooms are very good with central AC & projector is also there & everything inside it maintained perfectly.in clg there is small ground where the sports events will be happening of all types. And there are around 26 types of socities in the college of all the categories the students required. there is rotaract club, NSS which are running here by final year students

Admission

there are two types of courses here in DTU east campus for UG . BBA & BAE(HONS). At the time of our admission the eligibility is bases on the 12th marks and the reservations. but now the eligibility is through the CUET exam and also few other various exams, also recognises 12th ,marks also.we can find all the college related details in the dtu website dtu.ac.in and also the application form , fee related details all the other details can be found in the dtu website only. i know that there are reservations but i dont know exactly how are the given to students. I think there are enough details in the admission process and brochure itself about the college and all the things required.

Other Applied Colleges

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management - [IITTM] | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] (Tourism and Travel Management)

bcz the clg is comparitively good when compared to other colleges i have applied and the package is better here with placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum overall as 7/10 for relevance, and 6.5/10 for comprehensiveness. The curriculum included practical / lab / workshop components, which promised hands?on experience. That was a big factor for me. I felt that I wouldn’t just learn theory, but also get to apply it. It offered some electives or optional subjects, so there is some flexibility to explore interests outside the core. The syllabus was fairly up?to?date in many subjects: courses include contemporary topics (to some extent) and recent tools or methods. It also seemed designed to allow further academic pursuit: good coverage of fundamentals makes it possible to do postgraduate work.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really average in our college. Students become eligible mostly from 3 rd year only but there are also placement opportunity for 1st and 2nd year as well but less than 3rd years. Hike edu, Kpmg they visited this year only. Kpmg came to hire only bcom and bcom h students. The highest average package offered till now is 600000. 10% students get the placement I think it's not about the college because they can only bring the companies the interview and gd round is upto the students they have to clear it by themselves. I want to work in banking sector I will be trying to clear banking exams.

I actually have a very keen interest in political science since my school years, that's why opted for this course. I don't think there are any improvements needed in teaching methods. The timing of exams according to the difficulty is appropriate in my opinion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college offers a good mix of theory and real-life application, making it a good choice for anyone genuinely curious about how the human mind works. It also balances academics with hands-on experiences—students don’t just read about psychology in theory, they actually get to practice it through labs, experiments, internships, and field visits. Regular workshops, seminars, and presentations keep the learning process interactive and help build communication and analytical skills that are useful both inside and outside the classroom. Recently a resilience workshop was held by an alumni of MSCW, where we got deeper insights about how resilience can be built, how coping works and how some coping techniques can be bad for u.

My course does not allow direct placements right after graduation since a lot of students tend to pursue higher education, but the college does have a placement cell that brings in different opportunities like internships and placements. The average package is probably about 2.5 LPA with companies like Bajaj allianz but since it is an off campus college, this isn't bad either

Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.
