Best College for MBA in Kashmir

The overall experience at the university is quite good. But there are certain areas like an internship, placements on which the university must work.

For doing PG in MBA from the University of Kashmir, CMAT is a must. Usually every year in the month of September-October, AICTE starts the form filling process for CMAT, and the exam is conducted in the month of January or February. Even I appeared for CMAT and scored 140 points which is kind of safe score for getting admission in Management studies department of the University of Kashmir.

This is the field where our university lacks. They have a bad track record when it comes to providing the internship. The students have to make efforts of their own to find companies for an internship. Moreover, in the general market particularly of Kashmir, no stipend is paid to interns through the students learn a lot from the companies they work in.

The university is quite active when it comes to celebrating events. On every second day, some kind of event is being held at the campus. Events like debate, religious events, painting, singing, etc are held. To name a few would be " sumabal 2015" , sonzal 2018, and likewise. In addition to that, awareness programme for women empowerment, female foeticide are also held.

The overall fee structure is low. The University of Kashmir doesn't charge you much for the courses taught in the campus. For a simple PG, an amount of 30,000- 40,000 is being charged. Besides this, separate fee for an examination is charged which hardly amounts to 2000-3000.

No, I don't think the university offers any scholarship for the poor or meritorious students. But one can avail loan externally through banks like Jammu and Kashmir bank or any other bank.

The seniors were quite good. They were helpful and friendly. Our overall experience at the department was actually enhanced due to seniors we had and since now, we are seniors, we are trying to be like our seniors too.

Though our exam structure is ' taking an exam at the end of semester " but recently Few changes have been made by the university in the exam structure. They have started unitisation. At the end of every unit, they take exams of that unit which I feel is a good initiative. Plus, the students are also being evaluated on the basis of class performance and attendance.

The admission process is simple at the University of Kashmir. Soon after the result of CMAT, the university invites applications for MBA course through online medium and on the basis of points, the students are shortlisted for the program. Usually, the CMAT is conducted in the month of January and the result is declared in the month of Feb- March, so the admission process in the University of Kashmir for MBA starts in ending march or starting April and soon after finishing the admission process, the classes start in the month of May.

The teachers and faculty at the University of Kashmir are no less than the faculty of other universities and even better than them. All the faculty members are quite knowledgeable with a good no of research papers written by them. They encourage an environment of individual personality development. They go for brainstorming, role plays, case studies to make students better understand a topic.
