What Students Say

Likes

College interior and exterior structure are good
They provide leeniancy for fee like we can submit fee in installments
Teachers are experienced as well as chairman ins very helpful

Dislikes

Laboratories are not that much modified and with less instruments
Their are very less activites like sports activities etc
They didn't take us to any tour of tracking or any picnic

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because i have an interest in this course.curriculum prepare me for real world like i can get a good job with this course.for improving we need to focus on more practical work and train students not for theory but for real world application.exam was quite different but it also helps us to learn the core knowledge.Exam timings sometimes are not good because students have to come from different areas.sometimes timings are too early or sometimes to late

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My full year fee was 60000 without examination fee.examination fee was approx 3k other than that there was not any other fee...For other students of my batch it was same but it increase for other batch to 75000 as and about scholarship their are NSP scholarship available as well as i have applied for labor scholarship

Campus Life

We get off on each public holidays like eids, holi, baisaki, etc There are wide range of books available in our college and they are giving us each book for 15 days. And during our exam days if we ask to give books for more few days without any fee they. Easily provide us books. Facilities are good like heating system during winters as well as they use projectors to help us to understand concepts easily In student run group we have h good communication with each other and everyone helps each other during exams

Admission

I have applied for the same university only.I didn't get any reaction from other colleges.Admission process are easy at our time like we don't have to give any exams but now we have to give entrance exam to get admission.

Faculty

We have to types of exams one is internal and external.for internal we have to give exams in our own college and for external we have to give exams at university main campus....if i talk about teachers they help us to learn every concept so that we will not fail in external examinations.I like all the faculty members of my college because they help us a lot. now if i talk about exam difficulties external exams are difficult and we have yearly exams not semester wise.30-40% students fail in the external examinations because the marking is very tough.Course curriculum is relevant

Night Life

Gym is not their, cafe are present but as well as library and large public area is present in main campus I don't live in hostel so don't know that much about that but campus timing are like we have to reach before 10 am in morning and off usually at 2 or 3 Famous hangout place is our universities main garden areas and locality is very safe at night

College campus is best as we enter the college
Spending time with friends at the campus in free tym is just like awesome
All facilities are available in campus playground, swimming , library etc.

Dislikes

Canteen is small according to student population
Sitting space in canteen is not as much gud
Some appliances are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, I had taken science in my 12th too, that is why I wanted to continue in science and due to my interest in physics and chemistry, I continued in this course. The curriculum provides me with Whatever is sufficient in my course and whatever knowledge I need, I will have more than that. Exam timing should be in the afternoon only because morning gets very late in coming due to which exam gets skipped, rest it is perfect

Government Degree College for Women- Academically marvelous with good infrastructure.

Likes

The campus beautiful and very well maintained. It has a beautiful playground and is located in the middle of the town.
This college is safe and secure for girls. It has some unique features like Committee Against Sexual Harassment, Anti Ragging Committee etc.
The campus has drinking water facilities, good canteen with good food and great administration.

Dislikes

The sitting arrangement for the students is not upto the mark.
The college does not provide good transportation facilities for students coming from far flung areas who face a lot of difficulty in reaching the campus.
The washrooms need improvement. The hygiene needs to be improved. More washrooms should be constructed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very interesting. The specific areas that influenced my decision are Number Theory and and Calculus. In this course we're taught everything that we need to pursue higher studies like M.Sc. The exams are conducted by University of Kashmir and the difficulty level is average. The faculty is highly qualified and the teaching method employed is to deliver a lecture and it can be improved by making the sessions more interactive and immersive by increasing the use of technology like smartboards.

Likes

College has a newly constructed classroom building of 5 -6 floors equiped with smartboards & new infrastructure.
Teachers are very cooperative & friendly with students
College has a great environment & far away from highway making it less noisy from traffic noise.

Dislikes

College has a very small campus size & no one is talking about that
College does not care about hostellers for instance we were drinking unpurified water from last year
Not clean drinking water for students, tastes sandy when you drink it no purifier

Course Curriculum Overview:

Information technology was my interest based course that I opted in.. but when I saw the course syllabus it was old & theoretical based, lacks new & fresh syllabus would not guarantee job. Course could be better if newly updated syllabus would be include. Despite having smartboards no one is teaching on them or talking about using them.. Exams & syllabus Easy because of old curriculam
