Likes

The infrastructure of the university is really nice.
The weather and environment is beautiful.
Facilities are provided for the student such as medical aid centre.

Dislikes

Food present in the grocery is very limited.
Their is a big problem of monkeys that students have to deal with on daily basis.
Their are no local transportion available for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course has useful subjects that prepare you for real world application however the elective courses could use a better curriculum. The teaching methods of professors are very effective and interest inducing. We have 2 minor exams and 1 major exam at the end of the semester.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I have joined the University their has been no increment in tution fee . Scholarships are available ever semester in the basis of academic performance. The complete cost of education is very affordable.

Campus Life

We have annual technical fest tatiksha and resurgence. The college library has a good amount of books available both for issuing and for reading in the reference section. Each class room has a projector and bioinformatics labs have working computers. Clubs are available for students to join such as art , dance , music, astronomy etc..

Admission

The addmission process for integrated Biotechnology course was on the basis of 12th class grade. Due to COVID the application process was completely online and it was available on the college website. Their were no entrance exam ( due to COVID ) and the admission process was very easy and class staff was very kind.

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

GOVT M.A.M COLLEGE,JAMMU : A Success path to life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students.
