Likes

Every year in the month of March AOT organizes Arcadia.
Academic curriculum is too much good compared to others colleges.
Well decorated campus and two playing grounds inside the campus.

Dislikes

boaring classes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m (Tuesday to Saturday).
Attendace is too much important. You must keep 75% attendence.
In that beautiful well decorated pool , you cannot take a seat beside it .

Course Curriculum Overview

As I am a lateral student my B.tech journey is 3 years instead of 4 years. Currently i am studying 3rd year in ECE department. The faculty members are not too much bad. They took special care of us for 3rd sem , as we took late entry in that sem. They provided us special class everyday.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience

AOT's placement process is not too much bad. In this current market scenario AOT provides overall 60% placement, where some of the colleges provide more or less 10 to 15% students. Every year TCS visits in AOT campus . Not only TCS , but also there are many popolar companies visit in AOT campus as like KPIT, Persistent, Tismo, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is less costly than any other private colleges. They try to give us enough facility. They enough help us to acess the scholarship, and student credit card. They provide facilities to give campus jobs. For campus jobs they also provide us training classes from 3rd year.

Campus Life

There is no club and anything in Aot. But you find many communities as like student chapter, GDG, etc. Campus life is too much boaring because everyday schedule is started from 10 a.m. and ended on 5 p.m. If you will get admission in ECE deapartment you can feel it but if you take admission in CSE and CSBS then you can enjoy AOT's campus life.

Admission

Basically for AOT the admission process depends on WBJEE result, JEE main result, JELET result, and Others entrance exams. I took admission base on the rank on JELET rank's as I took lateral entry then in that time cut of marks was 60 for Electronics and Communication department. For lateral entry you required you have to complete diploma full time course.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More
