Likes

The security which was in the college is helpful to prevent worst activities done i.n the university
The circular events done in college is helpful full to encourage students and perform welland entertain them in the event
We can refer the library books which are very helpful full in the university

Dislikes

The food facilities in the university is not good and water facility is also. Not good
Every thing in the college is on money business who try to collect in the college like extra fines by the management
The transport facility is not allowed all good in the university

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually we have to choose the faculty for the appropriate course.and the course selected by me is on my intrest.the faculty are of two types loose and rd.loose faculty will give marks very easily and rod faculty will not give marks and have chances to fail the students.in the class relative grading system follows.the review for the teaching is avg it depends on them and we can refer YouTube is better method.and coming to difficulty in passing exmas depending on faculty and our knowledge

Class Size: 47Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Placement Experience

After 3rd year students are available for the placements and students who have above 9 cgpa gas chance of getting dream offer which start with 10 lakhs package.and almost 150+ companies visit and more than offers are given by the companies and the highest package was the 63.3 lakhs and avg package is 7 lakh per annum.the percentage of student getting the package is 7 lakhs. and my plane after btech is getting placement in campus

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure was divided into 5 categories. 1st category was of 2 lakhs 2nd one was 3 lakh,3 one was 3.50 lakh,4 one of 4 lakh 5 one was of 5 lakh donation category comes in it.if we got good rank we will get in 1,2,3 category depending on seat availability we will get the seat

Campus Life

There will be two biggest fests in the university they are vtapp and vitopia.these two are the enjoyable events where even celebrities come and perform and entertain us.and coming to books they will be available in library but at the time of exams it is tough to take books due to no availability.and circular activities will be done by the university is good cricket and other tournaments will happen to perform and entertain us

Admission

The admission process will take on online process in college.we have to fill application form and payment 2000 rupees and attend the exam.and we can find the application form and exam dates will be sent by the university in mail we can find there.and coming to reservation if we got more rank them we can't get seat and try for reservation seat in University

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

Dislikes

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

My aim is to go cinema field.So,only I choose visual communication.After choosing visual communication only i can understood the real world is so different I can't get it anything easy I want to work hard to get the position I want to be.

I like Our department of visual communication.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.

LIFE IN HIMT COLLEGE

Likes

System and the Rules followed in this college
Hierarchy system such as committe heads, cadet captains etc
Infrastructure mainly the football and cricket turf

Dislikes

Punishments, because you will get punished when one of your batchmate did anything wrong
Compared to other colleges himt is not celebrating that much for festivals
Regular musters, You will have to attend minimum 3 muster a day

Placement Experience:

I am placed in MOLMI. And sincerely thank HIMT for the placement. The other companies who Recruits cadets from HIMT are Zodiac, MOLTA, Sanmar, Genco, Ozler ONE shipping etc . HIMT have good placement records of 100%, if you have no arrears then for sure will get placed

THE IDEAL COLLEGE LIFE!

Likes

The opportunities to meet new people and interact with a whole new circle of people by Club Activities as there are quite a lot of clubs according to the student's interest.
Many places to showcase our singing and dancing talent once we join the club or take part in any of the department events.
They have multiple labs for a single department so that the students get a lot of hands on training for coding and as well as hardware.

Dislikes

4:3 Ratio of Girls to Boys in my class and i hope it's the same for all the departments as well.
The college timing can go from 8:30 AM to 5:10PM.
The 75% attendance is kind of doable and maintainable to an extent.

Placement Experience:

about 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed afdter the colleg and the ones not placed also gets placed after the college with high network and communication from other contacts within the college, ZOHO Corp does take placements and i am preparing for my CAT exams as i am planning for My highers at IIM, 5th semester is when the students become eligible for the campus placements and the seniors are a good connection who help to get places and get a job after the completion of degree.

Nothing much but have got some friends you fall into this pit exactl like me

Dislikes

Hostel , mess food and mess hall , no facilities for marine practical

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teaching methods of marine faculties are excellent but in my course they add some additional subject like tamil and hindi which are useless and no neede for a mariner as the marine faculties are good in teaching and explaining but they also having difficulty in teaching as the requirements didn't meet from the college management
