The Hiro of Biotechnology Department of Ruia College 2023-2025

Dislikes

  • The Construction work is going on which I hate alot(2023-2024)

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Biotechnology course of Ruia College is much better than other colleges of Mumbai because of there Teaching staff and non teaching staffs , One thing I like is the HOD of the department (Strict and disciplined along with kind and Cute from inside),only the advance instruments are not available for Practices.

Internships Opportunities :

We have to approach the Internships provider, the college staff only give us the knowledge where and what internships are going on and what to select and what not most of the internship are paid one's which costs alot

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is different as per Reservations but you will get MahaDBT scholarships if you have Income certificate and other Required documents. The Fees is affordable to our Biotechnology department for open category students as well which is around 40k

Campus Life :

The College Fest is one the best I ever seen with lots of creative themes and Events, The College fest name is Utsav Aarohan and after this all the different departments also have their Departmental fests, our Biotechnology department fest name is Chimera the best among other departments fest which is organised by us in the month of jan

Admission :

The online admission form has to be filled first with entrance exam. The admission was based on 50% bsc sem 5 and sem 6 and 50% entrance exam aggregate marks, The exam was little tough but if you are good with your basics then it is a cup of cake for you.

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are eligible for getting placements. Companies like Cairn India, SLB, Exonn, Halliburton etc come every year for placements. Highest package is around 24 lakhs and average is 13 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed is very less. After getting degree anyone can give competitive exams like gate for PSUs and GSI and if anybody is interested they can go for phds.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity is more of research based. They have dissertations for students at the end of of their academic year, and also provide mentors for the same. The syllabus is also not very vast and covers the most necessary topics.

Placement Experience:

The placements are actually very nice since if you study well, all of the students can be eligible for placements and there are various companies which visit on campus for hiring so there is always a chance of 100% placements here. The highest package goes upto 14 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Having a keen interest in mathematics I opted to persue my masters in it. The reason behind it was the vast demand of mathematics in todays growing world. Curriculum consists of computer knowledge which is been required today by many giant companies. The syllabus is moderate and difficulty level is high. After every 3 month in each sem, we have mid term exam and just a month later we are having End term exam. We are given sufficient time for preparations as well , so that students does not face any burden while studying.

Placement Experience:

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.
