Dislikes
- I disliked how seniors force you to participate in interhall competitions to serve their own purposes.
- There is no option to check your attendance online. You have to go to the office instead.
- The schedule is very tight here . You are always preparing for something.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because this was the the best one i could get which matched my interests. The faculty ratio is 1:18. The faculty members are highly qualified . Most of them have Phd. and ample years of experience in teaching. The teaching is awesome their guidance is really helpful
Internships Opportunities
All major companies ohffers job opportunities to the students like Google, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft and all the giant edtechs. They engage in a race to hire the meritorious students of IIT Kanpur. The average package is great.
Placement Experience
The placements are one of the best in the country. The average package is around 25 lakhs . The students become eligible after the 7th semester. The campus provides various internship opportunities and you can even get a Pre Placements Offer . My plans are to get a job after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Cost of Study isn't much compared to other colleges . The financial condition of each student has been considered . You can get scholarship to a large extent of the fees you have to pay . Various scholarships are available for students to apply for according to their situation like INSPIRE for BS degree students, FBM , MCM , etc. The college even offers stipend in some colleges like in INSPIRE you get 60,000 INR for research every year.
Campus Life
We have a lot of fests which provide ample of opportunities to students for showcasing their talents whether it be culture, sports, or tech. Our main annual fest is Antaragni which is a cultural fest. There are alll kinds of books available in library which you can issue. The college really encourages students for extra-curricular activities like sports,dance, music,etc . Various clubs are established where interested students can join.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room which was alloted to us had all the basic stuff required for daily life one fan, one bed , one cupboard ,etc . The meals tastes great. The menu is really health friendly. The registration process was smooth . All students were provided with a student guide which helped us through the whole process .
Admission
For admission in IIT Kanpur , i first cleared JEE Mains and then Advanced .You need to get atleast around 4000 rank to get admission in BTech Chemical Engineering . The admission process was smooth. After qualifying the exam , the application form is available on JOSAA website and then the counselling process starts . From there on the college guides you for further process.
