Students who are interested in technology or want to have a degree in technology can apply for Btech course in IITs as it provides a very impressive placements . The faculty student ratio is really good at IITs. The professors are highly qualified and very intelligent. The faculties are very experienced and have immense knowledge in their field . There are two semesters every year one is Autumn semester and other Spring semester. The exams are not that much hard but the marks are relative .

Many companies approach to provide internship programme. Companies like Amazon Microsoft Vedanta and many more provide internship with good stipend like 1 lakh per annum or even more. To get internship easily you can work under a professor on a project.

From 3rd years students apply for internship and in 4th year students get placed in companies with good package. Companies like Amazon Flipkart JP Morgan Google Microsoft visits our campus for placement. Number off offers made are nearly 200+ . Highest package of IIT Kharagpur is 2.6 crore. Average package of IIT Kharagpur is 18 lakh per annum. Nearly 80% students get placed in companies every year.

Fees structure for students vary according to their category. For general students whose parents income is above 5 lakh per annum is 1.5 lakh per semester including tution fee and hostel fees and students whose parents income is less than 5 lakh per annum has to give approx 80000 per semester. Tution fees is nil for SC/ST students and students whose parents income is less than 5 lakh per annum. There is no stipend for Btech students. There are so many scholarship programs you can apply for.

The campus life in IITs is really good. Every year in the month of January techno -management takes place named Kshitij and cultural fest also takes place called Spring fest. Library of IIT Kharagpur is one of the largest in India. It provides many books for free. The classrooms of IITs are technology based and highly impressive. The seat capacity in one class is about 250. Besides academic the extra curricular activity is also good . It provides the best facilities than any college. There are many clubs run by students.

Hostel rooms in IITs are ok, not that good not that bad . Facilities are top class in IITs . Hostel foods are also not like resturant type but it is ok, you can eat . Hostel fees are not very expensive anyone can afford it . Behaviour of seniors are really good , no ragging.

Students have to write two exams to enter into IIT one JEE main and after qualifying jee mains he/she has to write jee advanced exam.He/she has to score at least 80% in 12th to fulfill eligible criteria. Maths is compulsory in 11th 12th to write the exam. Every year in December NTA releases Application form and exam date for jee mains exam . Jee advanced is conducted in June mostly. Students from SC/ST category get reservation. The process itself is good , many students who worked hard for it get success.
