Lush green campus the campus is surrounded by nature
People , people are friendly ready to help and very ambitious
Faculty , engaging and knowledgeable and helps you other than acads too

Dislikes

Mess food , it's not the best this campus has to offer
Appliances , the hostel appliances are often broken or doesn't work
Fear of missing out , with people who are achieving so much you are often made to think you are left behind when in reality you are not

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is an interdisciplinary courses offered by electrical engineering department. The faculties are from institutes like mit , Stanford , Harvard and term exams are based keeping in mind we passed the hardest exam in country

Class Size: 98Course Fees: INR 800000 per year

Placement Experience

The students become eligible after the first semester of final year and the placements here are the best in the country with multiple 1cr+ offers and international offers , the average salary is between 17 -21 lpa and varies according to department

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is justifiable keeping in mind the lush green campus and decent hostel rooms and state of the art labs and classrooms . There are many financial scholarship ,or education loans which are happy to help inside the campus

Campus Life

Campus Life is excellent , with lush green campus , big seminar rooms , state of the art labs , big hostels , restaurant and it's immense culture . Iit kgp is known for its culture whether it be dramatics,music or comedy ..but also has a very good study environment

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms vary from hall to hall. Hall is the word we use for hostels in IIT kgp . Some are big and Spacey while some are not so good , the mess food is edible on some days and not on some , bathrooms are well maintained and cleaned regularly

Hostel Fee: INR 150000 per year

Admission

To get admission into iit you have to pass one of the toughest exams in the country , jee advanced and secure a high enough rank to be enrolled in this prestigious campus. The admission is done through jossa counselling after jee mains then jee advanced

Placement Experience:

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

From 6th semester students become eligible to for campus placements(internships as well as full time offer). 105 companies visited in 2025 and many package offered by them based on student's skill. highest palcement : 45 LPA offered by amazon. Percentage of students getting placemnets : 86%. After getting the degree my plan is to take a decent job and to be finanancially stable.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
