Course Curriculum Overview

The course gives a massive opportunity to enter a corporate world and a good career option. Also it's the best course for the one who loves accountancy or wants to opt for chartered accountant course The faculty is good with helpful surrounding , also there are good and helpful teachers. The exams where held twice a year with a gap of 4 months almost and the difficulty depends on the paper also vary year to year but generally paper is always quite standard.

On the 3rd year of the course the students are eligible for the conpus placements There are a variety of companies who comes to hire students from Scottish chruch.. Like L&T, Amazon, flipkart, TCS, etc Percentage of students getting placement is usually 35-45%

The on an average cost to study bcom in Scottish chruch is near about 1.5 lakh There are variety of scholarships which is announced by the officials. Also I got internship in Amazon with an stipend of 18 thousand per month. The stipend depends on the company

The fest organised by Scottish chruch is named as Caledonia. It mostly conducted in November to December month. There is a huge library available in the college with all types of books available. Amenities of classroom is good.. Fully furnished with a gallery sitting arrangements and central AC There are huge opportunity on sports.. College has every individual sports team and it's faculty.

Admission

The eligibility to get admission is , the one has to score above the given cut off provided by the college which is about (88-95%) in 12th exam Application form is given in the website and the fees to apply in it is 500. There are reserved seats for St, sc and Christians

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

the reality of kd college

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am from Commerce background so I need to make my career on this way so I choose this course . The faculty and student receive is not good the students and the faculty ratio is 10 : 5 The faculties are educated from various university and institutes they know everything but they are unable to delivered them to us as because they are some aggressive attitude. In every six months there is a semester and it is very difficult to pass if you don't study anything from the first.

I also applied to the main university but didn't get a chance there. That is why I had to take admission in this blasted institution. I received the rejected from the University due to my lack of percentage in the paper called marksheet. That is what went wrong. The admission process is completely done through the internet. To apply one must have a minimum of 60 % marks in their previous courses. That allows you to fill up the application form. It was good to be a part of that college

You have to pass the 12 th boards with above 90% marks then only you'll get the college. They always have the application form and all the informations in there official college website. There was reservation policies as I was sc so it was a little bit low cut off for my reservation. The exam pattern and difficulty level was a little bit hard.
