What Students Say

Likes

The campus , fests and events happening regularly and the and flexibility and approachability towards faculty and in the college
Infrastructure is also really great and large of the campus and very neat and sceneric
We have free access to the medical faility KIIMS for free consultations and admission to hospital as KIIT students

Dislikes

High fees I feel for the college and hostel
Hostel rules are really strict and they try to restrict you from various activities and lack of freedom
High student crowd in the college like very large crowd so it is difficult to be exclusive in the college and very large crowd

Course Curriculum Overview

I am in B.tech course in the school of computer science and system engineering. Each class for this course contains around 70-80 students per class. Most of the faculty which I have experienced are Phd holders.Every semester we can chose our sections to study do in a way we have an option to chose the faculty every semester. The exams are conducted in the form of midterms and endterms each cosisting of 20% and 50% of our grades and rest 30% by internall assesment through projects attendance etc.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements around 4th year I have no idea regarding the placement scenarios as I am still in my 3rd semester. I have very little idea regarding the average placement and the percentage of students getting placed

Fees and Financial Aid

No fees hike as of now and the cost of study is around 20-22 lakhs for 4 years including hostel fees and extra expenditures. I am still pursuing my professional course so cannot comment on the placements and stipends as of now.

Campus Life

KIIT fest conducted annnually which is the biggest fest for the university generaaly conducted around january or february. Tech fests and workshops conducted al most every week by the tech societies in our campus. Various student conducted clubs and societies in our university for various fields like tech, music, fashion etc. Sports facilities as well in our university for various sports such as cricket football badminton relay race you just name it.

Hostel Facilities

Meals are decent but very mediocre in the hostel. The rooms are well furbised. Washrooms I feel are not great because there are only 1 or 2 western style toilets in each washroom and the rest are indian style which sometime makes it difficult for us students. The in time in the hostel is around 8 p.m and fine of rs 700 may be imposed upon late entry to the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

Entrance exam for the admission in the college is required known as KIITEE whose entrance examination fees is of no cost. It is conducted in online mode which is proctored exam and you can apply for it at the website of KIIT by filling the application form.

A well rounded campus life with industry oriented growth in college

Placement Experience:

placement at cv raman global university are good especially for cse/it . student becomes eligible from the 7th semester and compinies like TCS, infosys, wipro,capgemini, cognizant and ibm visit regularly. the highest package is around 15 lpa and average package about 4 to 5 lpa . aroud 80 to 90 % of cse/it student get placed. while non core branch recive fewer core offer but still get it/services opportunities. after my degree, i pland to start my carrier to higher studies for making me as a proffersor.

My Campus Life

Placement Experience:

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

The course is relevant enough to teach you all the basics you would require in engineering though some of the courses can be changed and in place of those new courses can be addded for example for non physics student teaching them quantum mechanincs and that too the old quantum mechanics doesent seem to make sense . KIIT has lost it's eminence and it's fame for quality education and good placement records

Placement Experience:

Placement record is not so good.. companies like Microsoft and Google have blacklisted KIIT due to poor performance and mismanagement by the KIIT in providing with the right candidates. KIIT shortlists students in basis of multiple tests taken on platforms like AMCAT and on that basics provides the profiles of best performing candidates to the companies invited for campus hirings regardless of the field and job specifications and requirements, so basically KIIT has a very below average performance Training and Placement Cell as they lack decision making and management skills to segregate candidates for hirings according to their skills and not by their general scores and CGPA. NOTE: Companies have shown least interest in KIIT for last 2 years and the poor performance of previous batches and mismanagement by KIIT authorities. KIIT promises 100% placements but that is actually far from reality.
