College for a reason

The course curriculum is very good for knowledge in the field of IT. The faculty in our college is too good. I choose this course as it's a 3yr course and job opportunities is also better than a 4yr course . The ratio of faculty and student is min 1:15. Maximum faculty members have done PhD and masters and their teaching process is also good as expected. Term exam are taken every a month. And the semester exams are not that easy.

They avail many companies for internships. The companies such as intershalla and euphoria genx. We worked with them in many projects. We made software and applications. We dealed with the customers and their requirements. Overall they give a overview of working in a IT sector.

Placements are offered to everyone. And in 3rd yr we have to appear for the placement and interviews . Almost every known and big companies come for placements. The highest package was 6LPA and avarage is 4LPA . 80% students get placed on and off campus too. My plan is to do a job in IT companies and gather experience and then apply for masters.

The fee structure is like before every semester the take about 40000/- . They also provide scholarships. The financial assistance is required minimum and campus jobs are also given. The cost of study is similar to other colleges in West Bengal but assurence in job is like 80% > . They provide the svmc scholarship and kanyashree and all. I got paid internships .

Life in campus is very good. Social is also above expectations. There are many clubs formed in different fields also. The infrastructure is also good. The annual fest is called JIS FEST and the JISTECH is the tech fest and they are conducted in the yr end . Every requirement of book is available in the library. The classrooms are well organised with CCTVs . Every kind of sports is played here along with extra curricular activities and gym also. We have facebook and Instagram pages and youtube channel also.

I'm a student of JIS College of Engineering, kalyani. This college was my 1st preference of selection as this holds a 2nd rank of colleges in West Bengal. My admission was in 2022 and was a smooth process as I have expected marks and requirements in the course I selected. But for admission we have to for the CET exam i.e Common Entrance Test. This exam is not that tough easy for all types of students. And I applied the same day for admission and it was done by the day only as they have ample staff in the admission facilities. I took BCA as my course and students from any background can opt for this course easily. But they should have a computer science or applications background. The application form and details are also given in the college website. My fees for the course was 2.5lacs. And students can apply before their 12th board exam for seat booking or can also apply after 12th board exam. I think the admission process is going well so it doesn't require any improvement.
