A journey worth sharing

My college is one of the best in the state. The whole campus stretches over a large area. Our lecture theatres are well equipped with air conditioning and microphone. There is library also which has an important part in our education.

Wbjee was the entrance exam. In the counseling process in third councelling I got admitted here. No interview process was there. It was my dream to choose the course.

My course MBBS is very good. But it's a bit lengthy. Five and a half years course. (Internship included). Practical learning is of very much importance. Community medicine project were done in order to research about the various ascept of healthcare in the district community.

The college provide internship for everyone after the final year of course. It is mandatory for everybody. Though I haven't done it till now as heard it is a good experience. Average stipend amount is nearly 15 thousand.

As it is a government institution and a medical course. Every one gets government jobs at the end if they choose to do so. Every student gets placed. There are no companies visiting the campus.

We have cultural fest organised each year in the campus. It's named synapse. It's big. Famous bands and others perform. The fest is only for the college students. Outsider are not allowed. So the average footfall is between 300-400. The organisation is very good. College authorities also contribute for it.

In comparison to other courses MBBS course in a government medical college is very affordable. There was minimal admission fee. And then there were 9semesters. Per semester fee is ₹4500.

As it is a government institution there is no need of getting loan. There are scholarship program under the central government rules. I didn't avail any.

Our college is good in terms of extra-curricular activities. There are games and tournament. Badminton and cricket. Each batch has there band . There is good facilities.

I am residing in the hostel. We share rooms. There are three people in my room. Yes PGs are there. Hostel fee is also minimal. ₹12 per month. The food is good enough.

We have good interaction with our alumni. As such there is no such platform for student-alumni interaction. The alumni contribute in the overall development of the college as well as the students.

There are exams frequently. But it doesn't make me feel tired at the end of the day. Neither it is a chill culture. There is balance between exam and stress.

All the teachers are qualified doctors. And they are very experienced too. They are very interactive. During teaching they clear all our doubts asked. The standard of teaching is very good.
