Likes

Library is the perfect place to study it's huge.
Cozy and comfortable hostels. Entertainment.
Teachers are friendly and helpful. Staff are also friendly

Dislikes

Great experience but 1st year restrictions are at it's peak.
Hostel's showers are not working properly.
1st year girls are not allowed to the campus except library.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers are helpful but they are very strict for attendence. 75% attendance is strictly maintained. If someone doesn't attend classes proctors talk to there parents and manage everything. Most of Teachers are friendly.

Internships Opportunities

Infosys provide internship here. And you can also try for off campus internships they can be better than campus internships. Mainly BPUT carnivals occur. AND college fest occur for 4 days. College organise few festival and only 4 days fest.

Placement Experience

From the 5 semester students are eligible for placements. I actually know few companies name such as Infosys, nexa, hexaware, Mahindra, etc. Highest package was 25 lakh PA. Average package is 2.4 lakh PA. 75% student get placement. I am planning for a well settled job.

Fees and Financial Aid

My branch is Electronic and Communication my fees structure is 95000 for course fees and I am also a hosteler 65000 for hostel expenses. And i have applied for 2 scholarships. Scholarship department Sir and mam are helpful.

Campus Life

Here at GITA AUTONOMOUS COLLEGE I participated in Kabbadi and weight lifting. And got one gold and broze medal. They are also taking us to spring fest IIT KHARAGPUR. But here very less occasion are celebrated.

Hostel Facilities

There is a bed had a study desk and a cupboard and no wardrobe. Meal is average as compared to other hostels. Hostels registration was bit tiring because we have to wait I think 3-4 for hostel allotment.

Hostel Fee: INR 65000 per year

Admission

According to our jee rank admission is done in this college. Staff were very helpful. One of there staff member gave us a full tour of our college. Very friendly environment. Library is the main attraction.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

A balanced blend of learning,growth, and memories

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly comprhensive covering core subjects in the first two years and advanced electives like AI,cloud and Data analytics later, which influenced my decision to join. It balances theory with labs and projects,preparing students for real-world applications and higher studies. Exams are held twice a semester plus finals with moderate difficulty. Improvement is needed in making some courses ore practical and updating a few outdated topics.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Remarks:

College is surrounded by beautiful nature. 7-8 km from college is Hirakud Dam which is the longest Earthen dam in Asia. The Place Burla which college is located is away from traffic and city chaos and is very peaceful place to roam around for getting peace of mind.

A good university with a good environment. Healthy atmosphere.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.

Entrance Preview:

JEE mains and my score was 145. My percentile was 95 in boards. I chose this college partly because my brother has passed out from same college n partly because it has a good reputation in case of campus placements. Nearly every student is placed from campus only.

The reality of GITA AUTONOMOUS college

There are 3 ways to join this college. 1.JEE councelling If you have the rank in between approximately 350000 to 1500000 , then you can join in this college without any problem. 2.OJEE councelling 3.You can get management seats if you passed in 12th examination with PCM subject selection . But you have to score more than a specific mark in the PCM subjects. You can apply to get admission in this college by Jossa councelling (jee) website and ojee councelling website. If you want to join by jossa councelling then you have to fill up the form by asked documents and 10000 councelling fees. Admission process is quite easy but there is also an another process in which you just have to contact the college admission department and you have to give 20000 and the college go through every process of the admission by themselves.
