Karan's Review On Kalinga Institute Of Industrial Technology - [KIIT], Bhubaneswar

JEE mains and my score was 145. My percentile was 95 in boards. I chose this college partly because my brother has passed out from same college n partly because it has a good reputation in case of campus placements. Nearly every student is placed from campus only.

The 1st year course includes pc, maths, evs, chem, electrical, electronics, p. Communication, physics, mechanics. Programming is compulsory for two years even if you have opted other than it or cs.

Companies like ?sigma, accenture, tcs are the general companies which offer internship to a lot of students. Stipend is not soo good but its decent. On average, stipend is about 10k to 15k.

It is the best thing of my college, placements. If you are a student of kiit, you will get placed without a doubt. Mass recruiters like tcs give a good opportunity to students. Many good core companies too come and recruit students.

A lot of events are always going on. We have mba, fashion technology and many more branch which are always organising events. Many good performers come to our college to perform. Two weeks ago i attended benny dayals concert.

Fee structure is 2.6 lakhs per year with everything included hostel mess and tuition fee. It also covers other basics like laundry, bus services. Medical checkups are all free in KIMS.

Scholarships are given to toppers of the kiit exams. Loan is given to the needy. There is also a system in which if you score well in exams, college will provide 2 to 3k rupees per month.

Cocurricular activities is good. We have separate gym for each branch. Separate swimming pool, basketball ground for each branch. There is a kpl league where you get to play cricket in ipl style with teams of your own.

Alumni are very well placed and none of them speak ill of this college. Every one respects this college. Seniors are very helpful. Ragging is strictly prohibited.

Exams are very well organised. If a student is regular he won't find any schedule hectic. Teachers are helping and exams are fairly evaluated.

Not all faculty are good which is obvious but the dean n other officials are very dynamic. A lot of events are always going on to participate n a lot of opportunity is there to explore your dreams. Specially in mechanical as i am a mechanical student, thats why i know.
