How UEM became my second home.

Biotechnology is a subject which many of us don't know about it's future prospects. Likewise I even didn't understood this course at first. But the admission cell help me with that. The number of faculty members is way more than needed. More or less each of the faculty members are having there PHD and their own research papers. Each month we have exams. There is strict decipline around Each corner and the exams are not that easy also.

Engineering internships always provide stipend more or less. But as Infosys visited our campus this time,there is a better chance of placement and internships offered. The university give various projects in different field which help us while writing our CV.

From 3rd semester the students are eligible for placements and internships. Different MNC visit our campus for recruitment and internship opportunities. This time Infosys visited the campus for recruitment. The interview was very hard and only few were selected. But the university offers more opportunities in these four years. Nearly our college is having a success rate in terms of placement as 85%.

For pursuing Btech degree, we need give about 7.05 lakhs in altogether. This is very expensive but is nothing as compared to other Engineering colleges in Kolkata. Moreover there is no fees hike during the coarse, which is the best thing. This University gives ample number of opportunities in case of placement and internships. This time Infosys also came in our campus.

Our college gives many educational opportunities.It came up with different cultural, tech,food fest every year. Hackathon is also there. In the library there are many books and journals of different people from both outside and also by our own faculty members. There are smart projector,fans, lights, comfortable benches and mic in the classroom. Many extra curricular activities occurs through out the year. Moreover our college have many clubs like painting club, music club, dance club, poetry club, drama club, calligraphy club, etc. These clubs also showcase many fests.

The admission cell of UEM/IEM kolkata is quite helpful as it helped me a alot about understanding that what actually is Biotechnology and what are the future prospects of this course. The professors also help the students as much as possible and are also friendly. There are various amenities which the college provide from their end. Placements and Internship prospects are way more better than they told.
