I personally felt this course is so interesting, the faculty members are also so supportive and creative, maximum of the professors are highly educated and good in their specific subjects after every 6 months exams are being conducted and question paper is highly profiled but easy to pass

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 62000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of my course was 65000 for a year approximately. We pay fees yearly. As we have 6 semesters, in the last semester we go for compulsory internship provided by our college faculty, based on that internship our whole 6th semester project is dependent.

Campus Life

There are many different social groups which is run by student like Rotract club, NSS, Imperian club, Abhivakyati. There are different types of sports like volleyball, basketball court are available and also have gym and gaming zone area in our college campus.

Admission

I got to know about this college through my relatives, as this one of the renowned college. I filled the application form online through the official website of St.Xaviers's collge. As my grades were good. I admitted to this college easily, as the cutoff of my course was 85% And also application form was very easy it can be filled without taking much time and also includes all the necessary details.

From 5 th semester you are eligible for placements there are so many companies which offers in different different course available in our college . As I said there are so many departments in our college and every department allows different companies so the package will change accordingly. The highest package would be 10 lakhs . I think 30 percent students can got placements .

As there is many different Big companies for placements like TCS Tata consultancy services, Wipro, CEAT, Jagran, etc. There are around 50 + companies for each courses. For sitting in the placements you have to pass in every subject of each semester. Around 80% of student get campus placement. My plans after getting The Bachelors degree in journalism and Mass Communication I will pursue for Masters degree in journalism and Mass Communication.

The bright future college

Placement Experience:

From semesters 5 and 6 students become eligible for the semester. Many companies visit for placement. Right now I am in my first year so didn't have experience of companies visit. The package is given in heavy amounts more than 10 lakh is given per annum and the average is 5 lakh. The percentage of the students would be 98 or 99. My plans after getting the degree are to have a good placement and a well-settled job

Poor Internship Opportunities

Placement Experience:

If the course duration is three years i.e. 6 semesters, then the college placement team gives an internship opportunity in the fifth semester with various companies and organizations. Very few companies have visited to date as the university is not very much experienced in terms of growth. In short, placements are not that much up to the mark. After getting the degree, most of the students opt for higher studies or work in startups in very small packages.

I had applied for the Doctor Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Ranchi. And i got selected there also but i found st xavier's college ranchi is better then that college as this is autonomous applied new education policy of fourth year graduation. I didn't get rejection as i had filled only this two college in ranchi for bachelor's degree.
