Remarks

Admission was quite easy. The admission team helped me through the process. The team made sure my admission was done. They guided me right from submission of the admission form to entering the college. The team was quite honest as my batch was pioneers in the course (BA in Journalism & Mass Communication).

Course Curriculum Overview

We were lucky enough to meet faculty like Kirti Ma'am, Shahnaaz Ma'am, Rupa ma'am, Vinay Sir, Rashmi Ma'am & Amjad Sir. They were more like guardians to us rather than a strict faculty member. We are COVID Batch but they groomed us with entire knowledge of our course.

Class Size: 6Course Fees: INR 32000 per year

Internships Opportunities

My course is BA in Journalism & Mass Communication. Placements dept. offered media companies such as NEWS 11. While I opted for PR as my career so I didn't go with a college internship. Currently, I'm an Intern at 'College Dunia'.

Placement Experience

College offers campus placement and placement is 100% guaranteed. Before placement the team groom us. Average is 3-4L PA. You can even share the company in which you want to enrol. Companies that visits are - ICICI BANK, Reliance, Wipro etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college has very minimal fees according to infrastructure, labs, and a library full of updated books. UMU provides many scholarships to its students during the time of admission as well as in between the course.

Campus Life

The campus is quite big & college is going under construction. We have several committees such as Literary Committee, Cultural Committee, and Sports Committee and under these committees there are many events. We even celebrate annual functions named 'PRAGYOTSAV'. this year was the first annual function.

From 5 th semester you are eligible for placements there are so many companies which offers in different different course available in our college . As I said there are so many departments in our college and every department allows different companies so the package will change accordingly. The highest package would be 10 lakhs . 2nd and 3rd semester usually gets to do an internship which helps them build up their own skills, The highest package recently is 62 lac per anumati that was for a student in B. Tech CSE. Almost 90-95% get placed every year. My personal plans would be opting for campus placement and then masters in future.

As there is many different Big companies for placements like TCS Tata consultancy services, Wipro, CEAT, Jagran, etc. There are around 50 + companies for each courses. For sitting in the placements you have to pass in every subject of each semester. Around 80% of student get campus placement. My plans after getting The Bachelors degree in journalism and Mass Communication I will pursue for Masters degree in journalism and Mass Communication.

The bright future college

Placement Experience:

From semesters 5 and 6 students become eligible for the semester. Many companies visit for placement. Right now I am in my first year so didn't have experience of companies visit. The package is given in heavy amounts more than 10 lakh is given per annum and the average is 5 lakh. The percentage of the students would be 98 or 99. My plans after getting the degree are to have a good placement and a well-settled job

Poor Internship Opportunities

Placement Experience:

If the course duration is three years i.e. 6 semesters, then the college placement team gives an internship opportunity in the fifth semester with various companies and organizations. Very few companies have visited to date as the university is not very much experienced in terms of growth. In short, placements are not that much up to the mark. After getting the degree, most of the students opt for higher studies or work in startups in very small packages.

I applied on various government colleges like BHU ,OUAT And various private colleges like Netaji Subhash university, jamshedpur . In BHU the eligibility criteria for taking agriculture was to have maths in higher secondary and I was not having that In ouat the counselling process was very late. And in netaji Subhash university they do not conduct extra curricular activities muh as compared to Usha Martin University Hence I choose this university The eligibility criteria for getting admission in this college are to have 60% marks in 12th board must have good clc during schooling no criminal records etc...Read More
