Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose SRCC because I got the opportunity to be part of the best Commerce college in Asia. Here, since the number of students has increased in our batch, the faculty: student ratio is disturbed. Teachers aren't available for a few of the new subjects. Every teacher in SRCC is fully qualified for the subject they are teaching. 1st-semester exams were scheduled within 4 months of college opening but then also were not difficult to pass. After that exams were scheduled timely.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The college provided an opportunity to intern with very big MNCs such as Unilever, Bank of America, etc with stipends going up to 3,66,667 Rs. per month. Although several offers are very low as compared to a number of students who want internships, it is easy for students of SRCC to avail of off-campus Internships.

Placement Experience

5

SRCC is famous for its placements in the whole of Delhi University. Semester 5 students become eligible for placements. While many students opt for higher studies, amongst those who sit for placements, around 40% are offered on-campus placements with an average package of 15 LPA the highest being 45 LPA offered by Blackstone.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee of the college is around 30,000 Rs. per year. Needy students can avail of scholarship benefits which range up to 100% of fees. These scholarships are provided by Government, alumini, MNCs (for example - Mitsubishi Scholarship), etc.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at SRCC is the best of what I could have experienced. The events at this college gave me the opportunity to meet various personalities, celebrities, internet sensations, etc. whom I couldn't have met anywhere in my life. Various societies in this college gave me opportunities to grow in fields other than academics. Societies such as Vittshala, Economics Society, etc have a huge impact on their members.

Hostel Facilities

4

I am staying in Hostel provided by the college itself. The annual fees is around 50,000 Rs. along with quarterly mess bill of 13000 Rs. Their is different hostel building for boys and girls and both are allotted to students based on Cutoffs. Aa compared to rental accommodation, the hostel is cheaper and mess food is also better.

Admission

My batch was the first one to give CUET for college admissions. Delhi University also requires CUET for admissions. The registration process for CUET was neither easy nor difficult. We were required to select the universities we wanted to apply to and names of colleges in order of preference. The application form can be found on the Samarth CUET website. Since ours was the first batch, we found many difficulties as we couldn't find anyone who had already taken such an exam. Now, the process is becoming easier and more and more students are taking the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
