Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is rigorous as there are a lot of things included in the course. Faculty members are also overall good. A lot of faculty members are highly qualified and most of them possess a PhD degree in theor paricular subjects.

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunities offered by the college as many big MNCs visit the college for giving internships like ABinBev, Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, etc. But to get into these companies one has to pass rigorous selection procedure.

Placement Experience

SRCC is majorly known for it's placements only. It has one of the best placements across whole Delhi University offering highest package of 35 LPA in 2022-23 placement session and average package of 10.15 LPA. Numerous companies visit the college like Big 4 accounting firms, McKinsey, Kearney, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our Annual Fees is 29350 was B.Com(Hons.) for general category and it differs for other categories. there are a lot of scholarships available for students offered by various organisations. It can be merit based or need based. College authorities post about numerous scholarships on college portal.

Campus Life

Campus Life is really amazing as we get a chance to interact with the best minds of the country. Our annual fest os caleed Crossroads held in the month of March/ April. Various stars and celebrities come to grace the occasion.

Admission

To get into SRCC's B.Com (Hons.) one has to ace in the entrance exam called as Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG). For B.Com(H) the subject that we require in CUET are Language + Accountancy / Mathematics + Two other subjects. Along with this we need to register with University of Delhi CSAS portal for counselling process.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

Admission in SRCC is based on CUET UG score, I just put 3 colleges in my preference list based on my score, 1st SRCC, THEN HINDU COLLEGE, THEN HANSRAJ COLLEGE. and I got my 1st Preference College that is SRCC. All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

I choose this college because it is india best commerce college. It was my first preference and I got it. To take admission in this college you have to give cuet just after your 12th exams. You have to be pass in class 12th exams then you can give cuet. You can only give exams of subjects which you had in your class 12th. After giving exams , some universities release their admission form. You have to fill that form if you want to take admission. As you move ahead with their admission process you have to clear their cutoffs. For bcom hons in srcc the 2025 cutoff was 917/1000. For eco hons it was 910 for general category....Read More

SRCC- Asia's Best college experience

So basically i had applied to almost all other colleges in DU, for example Hindu, Miranda, LSR etc. Even non DU colleges, for example St. Xaviers. I got in all of them. However SRCC being my first preferance finally became my destination. I chose it mainly because of the Brand value it has. Same reason that people choose IITs. I didnt really get a rejection from anywhere. Just IIM under IPMAT, and that was because i didnt study too well for the entrance. For the admission in this college, u need to clear an examination called CUET. Thats the only exam. Cut off for B.Com hon goes the highest in SRCC itself, being the most demanded college.
