Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I want to see myself in topmost position in IT sector, there are 8 semesters in this course the 1st 2 being about regarding basic science and humanities. Some of the faculty are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 113000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Rs. 65600/sem for the 1st year, from 2nd year onwards it is 56500/sem wuth additional 1200 for University exams. Student credit card and government scholarship facilities are available. Fine is charged on late submission of fees.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is more or less happening. There are various clubs of the college performing several activities. 1 intra college cricket and football tournaments are held every year with active participation of the aluminis along with an annual fest, freshers part, saraswati Puja,etc.

Admission

Had to clear WBJEE or JEE for getting enrolled in the course. Application form is available in the college itself. Admission fees had to be paid via cheque, the admission process was satisfactory however further improvements can be made.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

MSIT KOLKATA COLLEGE REVIEW

I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good.
