Remarks

Admission is done through WBJEE examination.For computer science rank should be under 15000 and for information technology under 20000 rank helps. Application form for WBJEE you can find on Wbjee.nic.in website. Exam is generally conducted in the month of april.

Course Curriculum Overview

IT department of msit has a past record of achieving great goal it can be in terms of placements, academics. The faculties of this department are very helpful and co-operative with students. Mostly faculties are M.tech degree holders from reputed institutions and some are phd holders as well. Academics of IT department of MSIT is decently good.

Student after their seventh semester are eligible to sit for placement. Complnies like tcs,wipre,EY etc comes for campus requirements. Various start ups also visit for campus recruitment. Nearly 70%-80% students get placed every year . Average package is -4.5LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

For the academic year 2020-2021 admissions fees of entire btech four year degree was 4,79,000INR. The fees for the current year has increased to nearly 5.5lakhs for four year b tech program. But there are facilities for Student loans, and various scholarships available for students from west bengal to persue their studies without any difficulty.

Campus Life

There are various clubs in the college.They conduct various events throughout the year. The musical club always comes with some new music festivals. A fresher party is organised every year.and a annual fest is also organised for the college students. There is a technical club for tech fests. Coding club is also present for coding enthusiasts.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good.
