The Story of SRCC

The course curriculum is good enough and rigorous but if i talk about it's implementation, then it's not up to the mark. Faculty members are highly qualified but some of them cannot teach properly. Even most of them give us assignments which do not do any sort of value addition. In my semester 3, Faculty of one of the subject (Business Mathematics) was alloted after two months of the beginning of the semester. And the syllabus was not completed. Even a single chapter was not taught nicely.

There are a lot of internships opportunities offered by the college with organisations like Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, LEK Consulting, Hindustan Unilever. To get into these internships, one has to pass through the rigorous selection process.

The placements of the college is amazing as a lot of students get placed from the campus in big MNCs like KPMG, Deloitte, EY, etc. But there is a huge competition between the students for placements. An equal no. of students go unplaced. The students become eligible for placements from 5th Semester. In the placement session 2022-23, the highest package offered was 35 LPA and the average and median packages were 10.15 LPA and 8 LPA respectively.

The fees for B.Com (Hons.) for 1 year for unreserved category is near about 29350 per year. It differs for other categories. Students can avail the benefits of various scholarships offered by various NGOs and Big organisations. Like one of the scholarships is offered by Reliance Foundation.

If I talk about the aura of the campus, then it's amazing. Our annual fest is known as Crossroads organised by The Students' Union of SRCC. It is generally conducted in the month of March/April. Talking about the library, it has a huge stock of books but the it lacks the course books as there are only some books at a time for a particular semester, that too old editions. The infrastructure of the college is not up to the mark. Wifi of the college never works properly, ceilings are not good as everytime there is a fear that the ceiling can fall. The college has a swimming pool which is closed from a long time. The college has a good sports complex and sports facilities. There are a lot of societies where students can improve their soft skills and make new friends.

For pursuing B.Com (Hons.) from SRCC, one needs to give an entrance exam called as Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The eligibility for this course is that one should take language as a subject in CUET which he/she has studied in Class 12th plus Accountancy / Mathematics as one of the subject and any two other subjects. In short it should be Language + Accountancy / Mathematics + Two other subjects (one from list b1 and another from list b1 or b2). Therefore the combination of these four subjects are considered for admission purpose. For taking admission one has to register for CUET on cuet. samarth . ac. in and he should also register for the counselling process of Delhi University on ugadmission. uod. ac. in The admission process is very transparent.
