Likes
- Being part of North campus and the vibe of north campus is something that cannot be described in words.
- The cirriculum and staff at business economics is quite good. Teachers are knowledgeable and helping. Students in the course are also very supportive
- Exposure at the North Campus is something that is very underrated and is truly very benificial for advancing in career.
Dislikes
- The perception of SGTB khalsa college is something I'm fed up of. Administration and management should take steps to improve its perception as it affects students and their careers negatively
- As the college offers multiple non employable courses including punjabi hons, hindi hons and what not, it downgrades the college crowd
- Taliijg about crowd, one more problem is non seriousness of students. Many sikh minority students with poor academic background belonging from affluent families of Delhi cause nuisance in the college campus and also harm college image
Course Curriculum Overview
The Business Economics also known as BBE is a very apt blend of commerce and economics stream. My reason for choosing the course was due to my interests aligning with the subjects included in the curriculum. The course though very underrated, the cirriculum is quite rigorous. It includes all the subjects of economics as well as subjects of commerce including accounts, law and corporate finance. Talking about mathematics to be specific its one of the toughest subject I have encountered. Student faculty ratio is around 20 is to 1 .The faculty is highly qualified mostly hailing from DSE or FMS.
Internships Opportunities
As such there is no internship season and students mostly look for internship themselves. Although placement cell exist and regularly post about internship opportunities. But most of them are just for teaching and social media outreac
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placement after theri 4th semester or end of 2nd year. As far as my knowledge, yes many companies visit the college but the number has declined over past few years. The average package was around 7, 7.5 LPA while the highest was arounf 12 LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
Talking about fee structure, the fees of the course is very high as compared to other courses offered by university. The annual fee is around 48000. Yes there are few need based scholarship shcemes offered by the college but as far as my knowledge they are quite difficult to be availed
Campus Life
The life at campus is great and pretty vibrant. Many events are conducted by different societies spreading accross the year. Most of the events are conducted in the month of march and april at the time of annual fest "Lashkara". Many prominent famous singers such as Karan Aujla, Jass manak, Diljit Dosanjh have been part of the fest over the past few years
Admission
The admission process was quite rigorous. The admission was on the basis of CUET entrance exam conducted at numerous test centres all over India. The application fees is very minimal for the same and most of the syllabus is same what is already covered in class 12 board examinations. Talking about business economics the eligibility criteria was same as of other professional courses such as BBA,BMS aggregating the scores of mathematics, english and general test
