Course Curriculum Overview
The UG course is of 4 years and 5 years(for dual degree) the student faculty ratio is 100:1,however for labs the ratio is 7:1 the faculty at bits are highly qulified and have phd;s they also have good experience in their fields. Term exams: MID Semester Comprehensive examination(END SEM) exams are not easy to go.we need to have good understanding of the course in order to perform well.the open book exams need good grasp of concepts. rote momorizoation will not help.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that offered interships were Dell,apple , axis bank ,amazon,HUL,cars 24 etc.Internships are compulsory part of bits carriculum every students have to do a summer internship in their 3rd year.They play a big role in excellent placement of bits.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunites are excellent. Some of the companies that visited bits pilani were Apple , meta, mahindra, tata, google, amazon, maruti suzuki etc.Students can appear for their placements from final semester of their course.the average package offered was aroung 26 lakh per annum while the highest was over 60 lpa the placement percentage are quite impressive and well above 90% for most of the branches.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per year for the ug courses is 462000 which is quite high for many students. There is scholarship called MCN(merit cum need) available for students whose family income is less than 11 lpa(it keeps changing) and score good cgpa in the semester examination. for top 3% students there is 80% fee wavier in the tution fees,40% for top 6% and 25% for top 12%.
Campus Life
The campus is very big and green situated in the twon of pilani, we have a big library with over 100000 books and thousands of journals ,the library resources can also be accessed online,the library remains open 24*7 during exams. The fests of bits: 1) oasis: oasis is the cultural fest of bits held anually,it is one of the biggest cultural fest in india. 2)sphinx: sphinx is the technical fest of bits pilani which is managed entirely by students. there are a lot of clubs and societies like dance club,art and craft club,drama club,science club etc
Admission
The admission is given through your scores in the BITSAT examination which is held twice a year by bits pilani.. To be eligible for UG courses except B.Pharma one need to secure minimum 75% aggregate in Physics,chemistry and maths(PCM).There is no reservation available for any category. after appearing for BITSAT one need to apply online at bitsadmission.com and take part in counselling. results are declared in 6 rounds.
