One of the litest and best college in India. Though, IIT's is a dream but BITS is no lesser

Entrance Preview

We need to write a separate exam conducted by BITS known as BITSAT. You need to have a good knowledge of PCM+ English to do well in the exam. You need to score a minimum of 300/450 to stand a chance to get a seat into the prestigious college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am in Civil. Though the placement stats are not good being a private college but the curriculum and practical learning is good. If you are someone who wants to study and pursue this in the long run than Civil is a good option, though requires hard work. The research of the institute is very vast

Internships Opportunities

The college provides with a couple of internships. One in the summers after your 2nd year and one either in the first sem or second sem of the final year

Placement Experience

The placements for IT and consulting profiles are good. We get one of the best packages in the country. You need to study hard to score a good placement

College Events

We have three fests. BOSM, APOGEE and OASIS. They being sports, technical and cultural fests respectively. The fests are organised by the students from sponsorship to the ground work.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The institute is a bit a costly and costs about 3 lakhs per annum. Though the IIT's are a bit cheaper, you need to settle with the best option you got.

Fees and Financial Aid

You get an MCN if you are a merit student and have a family income of less than 6 lpa.

Campus Life

There are very good activities in all sense. You can develop a lot being in this college in each and every sense be it personality

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are old but authentic. They are undergoing renovations but it is quite a pain to live under a fan in Pilani's scorching heat.

Alumni/Alumna

THe college has its alumni network in most of the top companies in the world.

Exam Structure

We have flexible attendance policy so classes do not bother us. We just need to study before the exams twice a semester. We have a very lite culture.

Faculty

The faculty is quite experienced and qualified. Each one is a PhD in the course they are teaching. The teachers have quite a lot of practical knowledge.

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process of my college includes an eligibility test, BITSAT, the scores of which determine admission into thsi college. I had appeared for the test in PCB subjects instead of PCM. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
