Course Curriculum Overview

This course gives me the pathway to go any direction in my career The faculty ration is 1:40 and its pretty much fine Faculty's are well qaulified PHD's and have good knowloedge in every aspects There us a winter semester (usually in april-may) and a monsoon sem (usually in nov-dec) and there are mid terms in btw of the semester and its pretty much fine with some subjects being really hard to pass and some being easy.

Internships oppertunietes are pretty good i our college being one of the top college in india, we get good stipend as well. We get internships abroad as well and in india as well in companies like TATA ETC.

Placement Experience

The campus placements has been pretty good lately, with highest package going as high as 85LPA for EEE Students. The placement rate as well being high My plans after getting the degree is to do MBA as it gives a good direction to me

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structre is pretty fine and kind of cheap with the genreal fee being 73,750 Per semster There are several scholorships as well available which helps in Financial Assistance And jobs are as well gotten on the campus with good stipend

Campus Life

We have our annual fest called Ragam, also the biggest cultural fest in south india and our tech fest callled Tatva, biggest tech fest in south india We have a good digital library which got almost all the books needed for a student The classroom got smart boards and desk Different Sports is widely played all over the campus with football being one of the prominent one Here we got Google Developer Student Club, Unwired, Aerounwired Clubs

Hostel Facilities

The hosts for 2nd and 3rd years are really new and big, we got clean washrooms and rooms for 2 ppl, though we gotta put out our own internet/wifi, Meals are fine not very bad quality but not too good as well. Manu being diversefied from one mess to another.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

To get into the institute you will have to write JEE and get a good percentile/rank in it then apply into the JOSAA, and the selection process starts If we got good rank, we can get into NITC There are reservations for other backword classes

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
