Campus life and social life is actually nice
Gec is an antiragging campus and you can raise ur noise without any fear.
Seniors and there attitude are actually nice

No separate tech fest ,only a cultural fest

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I am interested. I dont know the exact ratio but they are enough faculties. Yes most of them did have phds and few are not much good its not about thier qualification its about how they teaches what they know ,teaching skills are not at all satisfactory. Exams are conducting in an interval of 3months and they are easier than sem exams

Class Size: 500Course Fees: INR 6825 per year

Placement Experience

You can sit for placements only at ur last year. When comparing the chance to get core related jobs are not satisfactory for noncse branches. They are only few companies coming for Electrical mechanical branches.

Fees and Financial Aid

About 7000 per year for a student , u have to pay fees only to write sem exams . I didn't got any scholarships but there are too many scholarship programs based on family annual income such as pragathi, etc and there are various scholarships given by companies like tata .

Campus Life

It is actually nice. There are separate libaray for each department and central library common to all. Libaray things are fine. There are 2 large grounds for sports and a separate basketball court too.

Admission

Secure a very good rank in kerala entrance to get Admission. Application can be find in cee kerala site. Yes they are Reservation benefits for sc st category students , more chances to get Admission even the ranks are not enough.

Interview Experience

No discussion or interview. Ur Admission is directly done by cee kerala . keam rank only matters . so prepare well for kerala entrance . if ur rank are enough u will surely get a seat . kerala entrance is mcq type so speed and problem solving skill matters

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

From 6th semester onwards students are eligible for internship and placement opportunities. Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
