Course Curriculum Overview

4

So i chose this course because i was interested in both computer science and biology . Faculty members are top notch . Almost all faculty members have done their PHD from very reputable colleges . It is a research oriented institute and faculty members will support you a lot in your research . Also the curriculum is better than other colleges like nsut , dtu ( for computer science) . Here you get to learn coding and concepts like DSA in the first year only. Also the faculty student is also good . For your branch specific subjects you will have one faculty for like 60 students , for common subjects its like one faculty for 300 students but students are divided in groups of 15-20 students and each group is assigned a teaching assistant. Teaching assistant can clear your doubts and guide you in tutorial sessions . Also exams are timely and they are a bit difficult as compared to other colleges but if u study properly u can score well .

Internships Opportunities

4.5

U can do internships after 5 / 6 th semester if you don't have any backs . Big companies like Microsoft, Google etc come for internships every year . Students are advised to maintain a sgpa of 8.0 to get internships in big companies

Placement Experience

5

Campus placements of IIIT Delhi are amazing . Average package of btech for 2022 was 20.86 lac and median was about 18 lack . Highest domestic package was 52 lakhs and highest international package was about 1 crore per annum. Percentage of placement for btech students is around 98%. Big companies like Google, faceboo , Microsoft, amazon etc come every year for internships and placements

Fees and Financial Aid

Downside of IIIT delhi is its fees . Its approximately 500 k / per year and there is a continuous fee hike . IIIT delhi also offers a financial assistance for students who can't afford. For students whose family income is below 2.5 lac , IIIT Delhi offers 100% fee wavier , for students in the slab of 2.5-6 lac , there is a 50% wavier and for students in slab 6-8 lac , there is 25% wavier . However, currently this income linked scholarship is not operating as it was supported by delhi govt mcm scheme and from the last 2-3 years , Delhi govt has stopped releasing mcm funds . There other scholarships as well like aspire , fast retailing etc. IIIT Delhi informs it students about various scholarships regularly through emails

Campus Life

3

Campus life in other colleges like DTU , NSUT is slightly better than the campus life in IIIT Delhi because of academic workload. For some branches like CSAM and CSD , workload is pretty high but it can be managed through proper time management and by striking a proper balance between studies and campus life . For other branches , workload is bearable. Library of IIIT Delhi is very well equipped. U will find almost the books that u would require for your studies , research. Also if any book is not available u can tell library management about it and they will try to make it available. There are various study places in library like group study , casual study and quiet study rooms . Infrastructure of college is top notch and classrooms are also very well equipped . Sports facilities are also good . There is a lawn tennis ground, basket ball ground , cricket practice nets, badminton court , indoor games like tt , snooker , carrom etc. There is a gym and swimming pool as well .

Admission

Admission to Btech can be through various modes , first is jac Delhi. Jac delhi considers jee main scores to give admission. Second is through UCEED . You can only take admission in CSD branch through this mode and it is for delhi students only ( students who passed class 12 from a school in NCT Delhi ). Last mode is through class 12 boards. It is available only for the students who are not of science stream . You can take admission in CSSS branch only through this mode. For jac delhi mode , all the important dates and applications are released on jac delhi website. Candidates are advised to check Jac delhi website reguraly . Also after you have been alloted seat in IIIT delhi , candidates are advised to check IIIT Delhi website regularly for important updates like document verification date , fee payment and induction.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
