Remarks

All in all,my college experience had been quite pleasant and i am throrughly satisfied with it.They impart quality education and literally charge peanuts for it.

Entrance Preview

Our college, like most other medical colleges on the country, selects students through the AIPMT (now replaced by NEET)I had to appear for the exam twice in the same year due to the infamous cheating fiasco. In the second exam,I secured 581/720 to secure an AIR 628 which secured my admission in my current college. There was no interview leading upto this.My primary reason for choosing MBBS was the noble and ever giving nature of the profession. It seemed to me the best way to give back to society, not to mention the stability of the profession.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS has quite an educative yet cumbersome curriculum.Unlike most courses, emphasis is laid mainly on practical learning. We routinely attend various clinical postings which help us a lot.Research opportunities like one’s from ICMR are easily available, which provides students with a stipend to help their cause.

Internships Opportunities

A mandatory internship of one year is included in the course.(4.5 +1 yrs).

Placement Experience

5

Placement rates are near 100% with almost all medical colleges and private hospitals recruiting fresh graduates.Students mostly opt to go for a post graduate degree before getting a job.Average packages amount around 10 lakh/per Annum.

College Events

3

Our college fest ripple lasts for a week.It features a wide array of activities and sports.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government college, the college fee is highly subsidised. An yearly course fee of 7-7.5k plus the hostel and mees fee(22k) .Overall it adds up to upto 35-40k.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are only available for reserved category students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Not a hosteler.

Exam Structure

A mixture of both I would say.It depends from person to person.

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college is highly qualified. Most of them are well experienced and many young doctors( PG students and senior residents) work under them. Being working doctors they lack the time for regular interaction, although they give It their best shot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has been revised in 2019 and the new curriculum (CBME: Competency-Based Medical Education) is all about patient-based approach and clinical approach which is very amazing since that's how we'll be dealing with patients in real life. The faculty of Lady Hardinge is amazing as long as you're willing to learn. The practical sessions especially are the best since you get to see everything you've learnt in theory. The syllabus is very vast and it's very difficult but you can do fairly well if you go through it consistently. The term exams are held before each semester and after every year you need to give professional exams also known as 'proffs'. You'll have to pass the proffs in order to be promoted to next year which is very easy if you have a grip on the basics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college has 4 to 5 permanent faculties and 2 faculty from the base hospital Delhi Cantt. in each department. That is 1 teacher for approx 15 students. The teachers are all super specialised in their respective fields and mostly all are very efficient in teaching while following the latest MCI guidelines. there are a total of 4 exams a student has to give mid-term, end terms, pre-proof and proofs. The exams are all designed to ensure that the passing students are eligible to be called doctors but not so tough as to fail a lot of students. An average result has about 15 fails in 100 students

I did my MBBS from NDMC Medical College which was worth it. The college has great education system with a good faculty and nice campus with a green cover. The college has a hostel but it is not as good so I would recommend staying outside campus. The training programmes and practicals bring in depth to studying at this college.

Remarks:

There is no negative news about this college, everything is best here. Few points on aiims -*College management is also perfect. *Faculty members never tried to shun their responsibilities with respect to teaching, research and patient care. Senior students were required to teach their juniors on a regular basis, even in OT's (operation theatre). *Get together were organised during celebrations of important festivals which included admitted patients. All religions were given importance.
