Course Curriculum Overview
The course and its curriculum is really congruent to the students of commerce background and offer deep insight into the classic 12th syllabus in its semester 1. BCom honours is one of the most reputed courses among the colleges and is also the course that attracts most placement offers in DU. Moreover it is a flexible course that allows you to be selective with your field of work in commerce whether it will accountancy management or further lecturership. Faculty members are expert at what they do all of them have a unique teaching style and are coherent in their approach. No rush in syllabus completion is seen.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities in fresher second year and final year of the college due to the constant efforts of placement cell of the college many reputed and big in the industry companies are attracted to offer in township and three placement office it is from the process of interview and selection that many of these select their interns. The stipend and during internship in first and second years is quite low from 3000 to 5000 per month but it's the experience that counts.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Due to NEP and the abolishment of grants by government the college has hiked the fee of its courses as new subjects have been added to make a total of 7 courses in 1 semester but the fee still is fairly low compared to other colleges in DU or other colleges in Delhi itself the Kirori Mal college has one of the least expensive education fee policy and has a great RoI if you get placement from this college.
Campus Life
There are multiple college societies in the campus which are attractive as per your interest I myself have joined a few and they have enriched my soft and hard skills to a level that I can offer something more to the organisation and assist in my holistic development the campus is really beautiful with infrastructure facilities like library, lawns, canteen, Sports complex, gyms, academic auditorium and the college in general has a legacy that is since Amitabh Bachchan and many famous actors have graduated from Kirori Mal College. But there are also certain flaws in the college that you may feel when you first arrive, that is no auditorium spacious enough to accommodate more than 100 people that is the official auditorium of Kirori Mal College has been shutdown for years due to damages by fire also there are lack of infrastructure facilities for badminton, tennis and various other games.
Admission
Admissions of the course are accepted only through CUET marks. The subject combination required for admission in any college across DU is section 1 - English with three other subjects from section - 3 one of which has to be accountancy or mathematics.
