Course Curriculum Overview

I opted BA programme because it is an easy course and it is beneficial for upsc students. The ratio between faculty and students is like 1 teacher for 60-70 students. Teachers qualification is good but only some teachers teach well i.e, with efforts and many teachers don't take classes regularly and with no efforts. The term exams happen on time and to pass in the exams is not difficult.

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 23525 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is very high i.e, Rs.23525 for a year, and hike is of Rs.1000 every year . You can avail fee concession by filling out form through students welfare committee but you have to give an interview also. No job and internship opportunities.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is good. Campus Life is awesome. Laskara is the annual fest conducted every year in September. All books are available in Library. Sports and extra curricular activities are the things that are found in abundance. Students unity group is the group run by students.

Admission

When I took my admission, the admission was merit based (class 12th percentage would be the cutoff) so I got admission in SGTB Khalsa College, North campus with my percentage. You have to fill application form online for Delhi University admissions and then you will get registeration number. You have to submit this registeration number and some other details to your college( a particular college whose cutoff you have cleared). And after this, you will get your admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements
