For admission you must meet the following eligibility criteria - You must have PCM in +2. You must have a valid rank in JEE/WBJEE. To give jee or WBJEE you have to keep track when the form will get published and you have to fill up the form before deadline and give the exam and after your result is declared you can sit in counseling.

I was very much interested in the electronics field from the beginning and I wanted to learn deeply about this field especially how a signal is generated,how is it propagated.To be very precise I wanted to study about signals and integrated circuits that's why I chose this course. All the teachers of our college are highly educated in their own domain.

I am in 2nd year so I have not experienced such thing till now but I believe I will grab a good job in 4th year and will enjoy my life afterwards which is not impossible because good companies come to our college.

Companies like TCS,CTS, CAPGEMINI, ACCENTURE,LTI do come to our college and conduct placement test and take students based on their result ,in 7th sem the companies start coming also FIEM provides training for 3Rd year.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you compare the fees structure of private colleges in West Bengal you can definitely understand that FIEM is one of the most affordable college to learn and earn B.Tech degree,if you are a state student then you can apply for svmcm scholarship which gives 60k per year.

Campus Life

Our college has 4 clubs of different categories you can choose which of it you want to join,they conduct many fests-sports,tech, cultural,film everything. The library is also very good it has atleast 10books of different author on a particular topic so you don't have to buy anything from outside

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
